Rosehip oil is not one of the common oils I have in my collection. I've done a lot of reading on it and it's been known to help a LOT with skin issues, particularly acne which I still have in my mid 30s! I've seen some people say not to use with acne or extremely oily skin, and other said to use it with acne. I've had acne pretty bad lately and I have oily skin (T-zone) and couldn't get it under control. It's been a little over a week and I put this on my face every evening. My face now has no acne. This is the only thing I've changed.
Rosehip oil other uses include helping fix:
- Environmental damage to skin
- scars
- They say it's better than botox
- Eczema
- Burns (radiation and sun)
- dry and damaged hair (massage into hair and leave on for 30 min then wash out)
- psoriasis
- brittle nails
- age spots
- dermatitis
- wrinkles
My son's fingers looked dry like they were going to crack and bleed soon. I put about five drops of this oil on his hands and told him to rub his hands together and he slept with it on his hands last night. He woke up and the cracking and dryness has improved so significantly that he asked what I put on his hands last night. He was amazed at the difference.
This does not need to be diluted with a carrier oil. It absorbs fairly quickly but may still feel oily later. I read one person put it on their face in the morning and would blot off any excess oil that didn't absorb.
I'm very happy with this product. I'm happy to finally get my skin on my face under control!

I am a huge Art Naturals fan & this product did not disappoint. I had been reading about all the benefits of Rosehip Seed Oil so thought I'd give it a try. WOW, the uses are endless. I cannot say enough good about this stuff, it has made my hair, cuticles, skin, heels and my husband's eczema so much better. The bottle is a great size & it doesn't take much, so it will last. I have used it straight on my cuticles, hair & dry patches of skin, as well as on my husband's eczema. I also mix it with a deep conditioner & leave it on my hair for a true deep conditioning, mix it with lotions & creams for extra power & am starting to explore the uses for insect repellent I read about on their bottle. I love that it's natural.

This oil is awesome and it's giving my son excellent relief from his itchy eczema. I am finding this to be just as effective as the expensive dermatologist cream Elidel and he's also tried other dermatologist prescriptions (all cortizone based). My poor 10 year old has had eczema since he was two years old and he's been allergy tested TWICE. Creams will help for a little bit, but the eczema flairs up and always comes back. No "cure" but you can help the symptoms of redness and itching.
This rosehip seed oil is REALLY soothing. I am reminding him to use it in the morning when he wakes up, and it soaks in while he eats breakfast before school (he hates oily feeling stuff on his skin but this WORKS!). Then when he gets off the bus, I have him put some more on if he's not going to baseball practice. ALWAYS after a bath before bed too. I make sure he slathers more on at night. I haven't had him use the prescription cream in nearly two weeks and just this oil, and his skin is not red, and no open patches of scratching skin sores. It's smoothing his skin and as long as we remember to put it in, the itching is almost gone.
This rosehip oil has essential fatty acids in it and organic. I was getting so worried about years of use of the strong prescriptions, so we're going to give those a break. I am just OVER the chemicals for his poor skin. This has nothing harsh, no chemicals and it's all natural.
I have been putting it on my heels before bed at night and then putting on socks. They're not cracked and dry anymore and my cuticles are so soft! My only suggestion would be to have a pump that attaches to the top. I have some aloe gel in a pump and it's so much easier for my son to use a pump vs. a dropper. I was so very happy to receive this rosehip seed oil at a discounted price in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
