I've come to have a love hate relationship with Pliot's G2 pen. I've always loved fine point pens but these for me is so-so quality. The write well yes, almost always reliable they are and are retractable. The ink doesn't write all that smoothly for me. I never got ink blots from this pen either. I have had some of these G2s in the past start skipping or the ink barrel getting air bubbles in them. There are times I honestly love these pens but more often than not I don't. I feel these are pricey pens and they don't offer reliability at all.

In comparison to Pentel's Energel line which is also a retractable gel pen, I find that they have a bigger fan base ( myself included as a fan ), far smoother to write with, more likely to be stolen/not returned and overall is of better quality.
