Waaaaaay better than the spring clips that are at most gyms. I use them for Crossfit and they hold up to the pounding that I put them through. I've had friend tell me that they don't last very long, but for the price, you can't beat it. Nothing is worse than midway through a WOD your clips are slipping and your weights are coming off and have to constantly adjust them. These lock into place and hold tight.

These are strong, good looking weight collars. Easy on, easy off. Don't let them being made of plastic make you leery of them, they're tough as hell and a great buy. I intend to buy more in the future. They feel a lot more secure than the spring clips or the screw-type collars. Highly recommend them.

Good alternative to the standard wire clips and the ones with the additional "lock" that tend to pop open with every drop. These appear to be the same as you would get from a name-brand store, although understand these are the metal ones lots of places sell at a higher price; these are clearly (as stated in the description) plastic. They came brand-new in plastic and the mechanism works very well. Lightly padded on the inside to offer some protection to your bar as well as add grip.

They do move if enough weight is on there & it's dropped from high-enough, but at least they haven't popped open or fallen off. Just don't expect these to lock down and NEVER move no matter what. Fit is nice & snug on a standard olympic bar.

Easy to open and easy to close. Stays on tight with over 500lbs on the bar. Saves me maybe 30 seconds each time I change the weight on the bar, but that adds up! No more frustration getting the stupid metal collars on the bar.

For the price you can't go wrong. Haven't broken them yet and I go to the gym 3-5 days a week. Not sure if it was a fluke but today was the first time in the months that I've had them that I had one slip on me while doing deadlifts. Didn't move a lot just a half an inch or so. If they end up failing I'd still buy another set as they are worth it.
