This is a small speaker, the size of a typical yo-yo. Solid black, integrated rubberized buttons on the tops below the strap that you can use to hang the speaker. The strap can be unfastened/refastened so it can be hung in a variety of places.
It powers on by holding the power button (the circular icon between the - and +) playing a 'power on' tone. If you press and hold the power button again for a few seconds, you put the speaker into Bluetooth discoverable mode and it plays a tone to let you know that. It connected quickly and easily to my iPhone. There is a small blue LED light that signals the speaker is on. The LED is red when charging. A 6" USB cord plugs in under a rubber cover on the speaker. It arrived with a 50% charge and I was able to play music for an hour. It charged up fully in < 2 hours.
The sound comes from one side, it seems to me, or the treble anyway. It's a nice balance of portability and sound. Do not expect to have a home theater experience. It's a very small speaker that plays sound well for it's size. At the highest levels of both my phone and speaker, the sound degraded, as I expected. I just wanted to test.
This is perfect for traveling as it is light and takes up no space. (I stuff it in a shoe in my suitcase). This is another well done Amazon Basics product.

This is a small but very powerful Bluetooth speaker with a ton of capabilities fitting into a fairly small package. I like the low-profile and rugged design and am confident to take it anywhere I go, indoor and outdoor. The clip-n-go type of strap is easy to use and lock the speaker in place tightly, although I am not sure how long this silicon clip will last as you do have to apply a little pressure to lock and unlock. If you don’t turn it all the way up, it produces reasonably good highs and lows seeing the driver size (maybe 2”?). One thing I like the most is the battery indicator showing up on the cell phone once they are paired, so that you’ll know when it’s time to recharge. Similar to its competitors in this same speaker sector, it carries a lot of the same good features and functionalities like ease of pairing, speakerphone, long-lasting battery life etc. To top it off, Amazonbasics is always backed by Amazon. If anything falls short, their customer service can always work something out.
Cons
-The blue LED indicator is way too aggressive and is not easy on eyes.
-It’s unable to stand straight up by itself. You can still let it stand on either side and it obviously is not designed to do so.
-It could have a much sportier look and feel. The silicon band around it only protects the sides. The face and back are hard plastic which can break if it falls.
-I feel like it’s a little confusing to use one single power button to power on and off, pair it up with another device and to answer and hang up phone calls. Maybe one more button dedicated to handling phone calls will be better.
-Instructions said long press the power button to turn it on and off. But it didn’t define how long.Read more ›

This little cutie is really a cool and powerful product!
I was looking for a portable speaker to hang on my bag to go hiking and take my daughter for a walk.
I found this just 1/3 price of my JBL Clip, and the design is extremely cool just like a bigger size Macroon with a handy hanger, plus Amazon house-brand sells quality cost effective products, so I check it out just after couple minutes consideration.
You really do not need to expect the package too much, maybe that is Amazon's practice to use all the cost on the product itself and their logistics.
The sound is amazing! There are two drivers on both sides to make the sound loud enough. However, 50% volume is enough for my outdoor use.
Good staff, considering the price, it is worthy.
