I bought the mount for use in my car. The suction cup adhered to the windshield and was difficult to remove so make sure you know exactly where you want to position it before you apply it the window. I've had it for about a week and the swivel is strong and the weight of my phone (LG G Flex then Galaxy Note 3) does not cause it to droop. The clip that holds the phone opens wide enough to hold a very large phone.

The gooseneck clip is very strong and I don't recommend for in-car use. It's great for use with a desk/night stand. Only issue is that it is somewhat a hassle to disconnect the clip that holds the phone to take back and forth between the car and home. Not that big of a deal as it just requires unscrewing a piece and carrying it with you but if you lose the piece, you won't be able to use the mount at all.

Anyway, I like the product and would recommend it!

I only have one arm, so when I saw this product, I thought "no way". So I ordered it, clipped it onto my stub, and VOILA!! and it even holds my iPhone 4S so I can do other "activities" with my other hand while watching videos!

So i have been rocking the imagnet for a while now. but due to me getting a nexus 6, it just wasn't cutting it anymore. the curved back of the phone did allow the magnet to hold it properly without getting it on there absolutely perfect. So I began looking for a 'grabbing" type mount. Came across this mount. It comes with a long flexible arm with a clip and ball joint on one end. Also comes with a windshield/dash mount and two "claws", one for each type of mount. the extension arm is mainly used for affixing to the edge of surfaces, such as a desk or counter top. it has some padding at the pinch points to prevent corner damage to the edges. The flexible arm is quite stiff to flex to get to the desired position. the clip, while quite strong, was not stout enough to hold my nexus 6 fully extended from the edge of my desk. it would start to sag. if you maneuver the center of gravity closer to the clip, it works much better. The windshield mount is why i mainly bought this unit. it is a suction cup with glue type substance on it. it can be removed and place countless times. For those complaining about the removal difficulty, it has a tab that your supposed to pull down and away, just like a 3M command strip, peels right off. if it loses adhesion, wash off, let dry, and the adhesion should come back. it has an amazingly strong hold and adhesion doesn't appear to be affected by wide temperature changes in a vehicle. Once you place it where you want, you engage a turn-style tab to put the mount in lock down. holds my nexus 6 weight just fine. now the grabber is a different story. While i have a big phone, it does hold it, but barely. i have it opened almost all the way. holds it just fine over bumps.Read more ›

I use this with my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with a cover on and it fits just perfectly. This is a sturdy, firm, excellent universal car and desk mount. I use the flex arm in my car to avoid any obstruction in view. The clamp is tight and the grip is firm. The arm is strong and appears to be made of sturdy material. Overall I am very happy with the product and ordered another one for my desk as well. Thanks for the wonderful product.

Best decision ever. Are your arms always falling asleep while laying in bed on your phone? Are you tired of dropping your phone on your face? Do you maybe need a suction cup for some reason? Well look no further. This is the product for you.

This thing has saved me numerous ER trips for loss of blood to the hands and glass shards in my eyes. It's the best lazy enabler out there. Now you have both hands to stuff your face laying in bed watching YouTube and Netflix on your small ass phone screen!

I actually really like this product and bought it for all those reasons minus the auction cup and sarcasm. Set it up, went out, came home and found my brother using it saying where did you get this. Bought him one for his birthday and that's a wrap!

I looked at the negative reviews for this and was surprised to see they were mostly for the thing being TOO STRONG. Really?! It just goes to show you can't please everyone. The clip should be strong, it needs to be strong, it's holding relatively significant weight and at odd angles. I, for one, appreciate the strength of the clip. Just use common sense where it goes.
The clip also has some foam-like protectors to protect things from getting scratched... and even has some cloth-type material up the clip to further protect things from getting scratched.
The arm is very sturdy as well, it flexs, but still needs to be strong enough to hold a phone. I, for one, appreciate that once I move it into position, it stays! I'm not sure the gooseneck is really ideal for a car. I think it's intent is more for desks, bedside nightstand, etc... People wanting to put a 2 FT gooseneck in the small confines of a car, well, I just can't think that's ideal. Hence the included suction window mount... and I've never had much success with suction window mounts, so I can't speak to this one either. I don't like em. They never stay on my windows. I've used other more sturdy vehicle mounts... I have one that uses the CD slot and works great for my vehicle... I have another that fits in the cup holder, and also works great.
As for this holder, I use it at a desk, and it works awesome. My main concern was whether or not the phone holder part would spread far enough apart and clamp tight enough to hold my Samsung Note 3 which is pretty big. I'm glad to say it MORE than handles it. Even with my Otter case, it holds it fine. The instructions say it opens to 90mm (3-1/2 in). But it opens easily to 3-3/4 and could even stretch to 4 in. if needed, and would still have a good grip on anything.Read more ›
