Be aware that as with any non-Apple cable, I suppose, this one will frustrate you. It has to be seated JUST SO, and getting it seated JUST SO will drive you slightly mad. If you're lucky enough to have two different Thunderbolt ports, this will slightly unmadden you, because you can JUST SO it back and forth until you achieve a satisfactory connection. But be forewarned that you will spend a LOT of time jiggling and coaxing and finagling this cable into submission. It does work, most of the time, as long as you don't disrupt its sweet spot. And that sweet spot is very, very finicky indeed.

This Gaosa mini DisplayPort cable was just what I was looking for to connect my Purchase pro to my tv! It works very well, and isn't very thick, unlike many other cables are.
Impressions- The cable comes in a simple bag, which is fine, but it doesn't come with end protectors (to prevent debris from entering the inputs during storage/transportation) which is my only minor complaint. For it's intended purpose, the cable works flawlessly and has met my needs very well, and without breaking the bank.
Pros:
-High quality cable
-No dropping of frames
-Strong connectors
-long
Cons:
- Hdmi-end is a little long, and may cause trouble for people with wall mounted tv's with little wall clearance
- No port protectors included.

Overall, an EXTREMELY nice cable!

I've been staring at that thunderport for several years and always wondered... why would Apple use so valuable retail space on its minimalistic macbook air for a thunderport. Apple is never wrong. Now I know. I should never have doubted. This mini display port by Gaosa makes everything so easy and I now use this almost every day. Just plug it to your computer and your favorite display and the a whole new world is available. The quality on my TV is much better than the screen quality on my macbook air so watching movies on this is better. The quality is better than my apple tv and it is easier. I still use the Apple TV when I want to extend my desktop or work on my computer from a distance (mainly watching movies).

I received this product at a discount for my unbiased review and am happy I can sincerely recommend it to all of you. Enjoy!

I was using a mini displayport to HDMI adapter, but when I found this cable that connects directly to HDMI without the need for a separate cable, I was ecstatic. This cable works flawlessly, and as an added bonus, since its HDMI it carries sound over as well (Less Cables!!!). Before the other HDMI adapter I was using, I was using the official Apple mini displayport to DVI and honestly, the quality has been the same with all devices. Works great for connecting my Macbook Pro to my Sony Bravia TV. As soon as I plugged it into my computer and the tv, the tv instantly became a second monitor for my Macbook. Simple to use. The quality is great, picture stunning, no data transfer issues whatsoever. Would recommend this item and buy again.
