What a piece of garbage.

EDIT: I want to preface my original review below with the following. I purchased the WooPower 750Mbps Dual Band Router/Range Extender, and this review is for that product. Notice that Woopower has grouped this product into the same listing with various FM transmitters and other products. This is a deceptive practice and diminishes the accuracy of the reviews for the product. Please only rate this review as helpful or not helpful if you're in the market for this particular product. What a piece of garbage. First of all, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, ergo I don't usually call into question the authenticity of reviews on Amazon. However, take a look at the reviews of this product closely. A huge number of them are "Firstname Lastname" users with only one review. I went to other Woopower items on Amazon, same deal. Is this a scam? You be the judge.

Questionably-authentic reviews aside, let's get down to the product at hand. Here's the scenario. After upgrading my furniture in my living room, and getting tired of looking at the router and its spaghetti nightmare of wires, I decided to move it out of the living room and into a bedroom (one floor, two bedroom 1235 sq/ft apartment here). Wireless speeds on my network would fall from >50 MB/s to <5 MB/s in the twenty feet from the bedroom to the living room, rendering my XBOX One, Onkyo receiver, Amazon Fire Stick, and laptop useless. This product was so promising: I was hoping to use it as both a bridge and wireless repeater, providing an ethernet connection to the gigabit switch in my entertainment center, and boosting wireless signal for the laptops.

Not Recommended for the Novice

Not recommended for the novice. Seems to work, but not simple to setup. The instructions were ok. Must have been translated. I can not upgrade the device firmware because the company website is offline.

I am sure there are repeaters that are easier to setup.

Has to be rebooted far too often

Bought this product to use in repeater mode. Unfortunately it is unreliable. It has to be rebooted every day, sometimes more frequently, to access the Internet. Very inconvenient to unplug and plug back in the device, or reboot via smartphone using ap.setup.

I believe that I received a defective one. Would have liked to exchange for a new one with hopes that this one was just an aberration. However, the only option was to return for a refund. I guess I could return it for a refund and buy another, but I fear that I may very well have been fooled once already. So for all of the above, I give one star for "Shame On Them." I won't be buying another because if I did, I fear that I might be fooled again, which would be "Shame On Me."

Pros and Cons

Pros:

1) It has a really simple and elegant design. I really like that it's not a heavy piece extending out of the cigarette lighter in my car. The last one that did stopped working a month after purchase when it broke from its own weight.

2) No Bluetooth, no need, 3.5mm audio plug works just fine.

3) Included USB charging port is a must for any product like this. The fact that its 2.4A is the perk. After a day at work and by the time I arrive home my phone is completely charged.

4) All frequencies are represented. We have a very busy FM band in our area so it great when you can pick from the whole spectrum. It’s also powerful enough to overpower the occasional spectrum violators. So even those stations that bleed to other frequencies don’t cause static.

5) For the cost this is a steal.

Cons:

1) I had complaints when receiving or placing calls that the other side couldn’t hear me; the audio was intermittent. I thought that might have just been the phone signal but I would immediately plug in my headset with microphone and after that they could hear me just fine.

Other than that, no complaints and I really liked this.

This product was provided at a reduced cost for me in exchange for my honest review.

Very Disappointing

Very disappointing. Hoping so much to love this product. First off, couldn't tune down to 87.6 or 87.7 where my radio was clear. Went all across the dial manually (0.1 hz at a time) and could not find a frequency where I could get rid of the constant hum, static or noise even at lower listening levels. The automatic frequency scanner was of very marginal use as it actually was worse finding a less noisier frequency than manually. I really hoped this would work for me. Just to be sure tried in two different cars and same issues occurred in both. Tried a different brand and it was night and day difference, being crystal clear, sounded great and all without any noise except very faintly at very loud volume. Will return this item.

Difficult to set up and unreliable

I needed a solution to extend the WiFi signal in my 3100 square-foot home. The router/modem combo is in the office, which is in the corner of the lower level. This leads to a dead spot on the upper level on the opposite side. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so I gave this a chance, but ultimately ended up sending it back.

The setup was not as straightforward as the printed instructions indicated. While the device appeared to work properly via the one-touch WPS option, I found that it would not hold the connection reliably even when I moved it to a location where it basically had line-of-sight to the router. The extender's GUI is similarly terrible, with slow response and the seeming inability to retain settings despite the it saying that it had updated successfully. At face value, these issues look correctable by a firmware update, but such a thing is nowhere to be found. Woopower only has a very basic website with product information and links to buy their products here on Amazon. There is no support section.

If you're in the market for a WiFi extender, I would recommend spending more money to purchase one from a name brand.
