Easy install, needs a more R&D before it can be useable

I wanted an OBD gauge that would allow me to see my current MPH and engine temp (Fahrenheit). I figured an HUD would be the way to go, and add the convenience of not having to look too far off the roadway to see it. I think this unit is a good start to an unfinished product. Install was a breeze, and unit is very responsive and accurate once you dial in all the settings. As you can see in my pictures, brightness settings and digit clarity are a major issue. If you are ok with setting the brightness level for night driving or daytime driving each time you drive, this unit will be perfect for you. Sadly, navigating to the brightness menu consists of holding the navigation wheel for 5 seconds, pressing it 7 times, then moving the navigation wheel left or right a few times to change this setting. My navigation wheel works perfect when moving it left, but needing to navigate it to the right, it hangs up or is unresponsive at least 50% of the time.

[Installation] Unit is much larger than I expected, but not a problem, finding the right location to where you are only seeing the reflection of the screen and not the screen as well meant it had to be installed in the center where my information console rises from the dashboard. a single wire that carries the power and information from the OBD plug to the HUD display makes it a very easy install. Supplied grip mat is a rather sticky and will hold the unit in place without using tapes or glues. The usb plug on the cable is rather long, and prevents the unit from being installed close to where the windshield and dashboard meet (which would have been more convenient in my application). A 90 degree USB plug would have been a better option. Included reflector film was very difficult to apply without many bubbles.Read more ›

reordered for Christmas. Gave away first one as late gift. Box came opened. arrived on time ( as they said it would, couple days after)
Unit wouldn't work on any auto. display all jumbled up. left plugged in over night. still the same.
I use to have an app on my phone that worked perfect, short of draining the battery.
Company wont except return.....Just looking for working unit.....Don't waste your money!

wont display the correct MPH after speed hits 10+

Wont display the proper MPH. looked at the manual to see if there was a fix on the device its self but the only thing the instructions said was to switch to KPM but I live in the U.S. so wont do me much good only problem but amazing product. easy to set up and go.
