I like to cook meals for my family and wanted to try one of those torches you see chefs on TV use to brown or light roasting some food or caramelizing desserts. The Culinary Torch - Creme Brulee Torch by Liba is an idea torch for these types of cooking touches.

The torch is very well made. It has an all metal body and strong plastic torch head control. It has a safety switch and and anti flaring feature built in. It has a sight glass so you can see the level of it butane fuel. It also has a black plastic base that can be easily removed as it just presses on and it also serves as a cover for the fuel port in the bottom of the fuel tank of the torch.

I used this torch to brown up some green peppers to give them a roasted look. The use of it is straight forward. Slide down the safety lock and pull the trigger until you hear it click. At that point is should flame up. You can adjust the flame by turning the red dial on the back of the torch to your liking. When filled with fuel it has a decent weight. I found that the little back base/stand had a tendency to fall off easy. Due to that annoyance I give this 4 stars. I don't want to fumble around with something that has a flame going on it.

This was actually a Christmas present for my wife. She has wanted a culinary torch for some time, but was afraid to try one. Well, her first time to use it was a success. She beautifully browned the bacon wrapping filet mignons for our Christmas dinner. The only down side was filling the torch. There was quite a bit of butane escaping during the process and we did not seem to be able to get that to stop. We got it filled but there is no telling how much butane we wasted. That fill problem was why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. But for ease of use (once it is filled) and results on the dishes, it is great.

I want to let everyone that reads this review to not do what I did, this torch comes empty and you must fill it with butane. I read the direction completely and so did my spouse. I had a can of Coleman butane that I use for my portable camp stove. So I tried filling up this torch with it and it just leak all over my hands made my house stink and never would fill up the torch, my husband tried and he to had the same experience. I was frustrated and wanted to give this product a 1 star and send it back instead of rating it I contacted the seller and let them know my problem with the product. The seller was great to work with and it turns out that.... you can not use a butane can that is made for the portable camp stove because the tip is to short and will not reach to the intake valve and fill up the torch. So it was not the culinary torch but the can of butane I was using. I bought a regular can of butane and the torch fills up perfectly, and I am very impressed with this torch it has an amazing long flame you can adjust form small to large by twisted the red knob on the end. I also like the window to see how full your fuel tank is. Now I am glad I didn't send it back or leave a bad review until I realized what the problem was. This culinary torch is an awesome thing to have if you like to cook.

This is an extremely sturdy little torch for all of your cooking needs, It came ready to go in the box. You simply fill it with gas in the bottom until you can see the bottle is full in the side window. Then you press the button to start the gas coming out and then use the built in ignition switch ti light it. It has a knob so that you can control the level of the flame depending on what you are planning on doing with the torch. It is made with a nice thick plastic base and the silver part is actually a heavy metal compound. The flame torch itself seems to be made out of stainless steel. I received this torch from LiBA in exchange for my HONEST and unbiased opinion and this was so easy to use straight out of the box.No assembly required. You will need to buy the gas for it though.

All expectations amply fulfilled. Works perfectly, easily controllable flame, igniter lights every time, easy to fill, stands securely in the removable bottom holder until it cools. The value of a kitchen torch over a plumbing one is that it looks nice, stays clean, and it's in your kitchen, close at hand. Once it's there, you find all sorts of reasons to use it for aesthetic browning if things, instead of heating up the broiler. Altogether, this is a very nice model.

I got this the other day and I was very happy. I've been wanting one of these for a LONG time. The Liba culinary torch does not come with gas. You will have to purchase that separately. At first I didn't know what butane gas to choose because it's said high quality, but I just went to my local grocery store and I found it. Since it's a grocery store I thought it was safe to use for kitchen use. You fill it from the bottom and as soon as it start fuzzing it means it's full. You can also check the fuel gauge window to know when it's full. You need to flip the torch to refill it. It's super easy to use. You just adjust your flame and press the button for quick fire. It even has a safety lock. You can also angle the torch and it comes with a removable stand. I'm very impressed with this item. I did receive this product at a discounted price in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. I take my reviews serious and will only provide accurate and honest feedback.
