This review is for the iPhone 6/6S Plus High Pro Shield Case.

I've had the pleasure of owning several Verus cases. They are all unique, made of high quality, and very durable. Verus recently offered me this case for free in exchange for my honest review, so naturally I gladly accepted.

This is my favorite type of case and it is sold by Verus for many different brand phones. I actually used this on my last iPhone and this new version seems to be a bit upgraded. This is a two piece case; it includes the main rubber body which covers the sides, wraps slightly over the front, and covers the back of the iPhone. The second piece is the bumper which fits over the side of your phone and serves two purposes - to hold the phone inside the rubber body and for aesthetics. For a two piece case, it is quite easy to get your phone in and out of the two pieces. I have tried so many full body/multiple piece cases and find that they can be very difficult to get your phone in the case and even harder to get it out. Even though the Verus case is easy to insert/remove your phone, that is only when you want it removed by choice. That is, the case holds your phone very sturdy and there is no risk of your phone popping out.

I love this case because it is super slim and lightweight, yet due to the construction, it is quite durable and will provide excellent drop protection for your phone. I actually dropped my last iPhone several times while inside this case and the worst that happened was some dents on the bumper portion of the case. The metal bumper of this case will give you structural protection and help take on the first jolt of the drop.Read more ›

It comes in two pieces. One flimsy rubber piece that covers the whole phone, and a plastic piece that goes around it. The case protrudes to the front, meaning laying it face down won't scratch the glass. The hard plastic case that goes around the phone makes the phone a little bulkier. I have big fingers, so I have to dig down there to turn on/off the ringer. The buttons are awesome though, it clicks when you push it so you don't have to push hard. It adds a half a centimeter lengthwise, but the width of the phone remains skinny

The major problem I have with this Versus case is that the sides of the case are smooth and, therefore, slippery, making it more rather than less likely to drop the phone. I consider this to be a fundamental design flaw.

I didn't skim through the reviews when buying this case. The case looks good, and feels good in hand with the rubber back. The 6s plus will appear wide with this case. The fact is that this phone will look wide with any case of this kind. Now, that being said, some other folks who wrote their reviews are absolutely correct about the silent switch being difficult to reach. One can manage to make this switch work with nails or if you have little fingers. I'm returning the case as I make my phone silent quite often in and out of office and meetings, and would not like to compromise on a $750 phone.

Trying to get this on your phone correctly is a total pain. Have done it several times and it is still too high up on the upper left corner. Visible to the eye is a higher upper left. Bottom looks bent. Really bad part is that it has pulled up my new Tech Armour glass screen protector- an arch on all four sides going to the middle. Can't get at the silent button. Only positive is that the back is grippy and it looks nice.

Don't waste your time with this case. The mute/vibrate is impossible to toggle while using this case. Maybe a child could toggle the switch with their small fingers, but certainly not an adult. I tried sanding away some of the case so that normal sized fingers could operate the switch and the case broke. In the trash it goes...

Purchased couple of Verus cases for iPhone 6S Plus and this one is the far worst one to get. The side buttons are hold by stickers. Can you imagine? Button pieces are moving around and stuck on the case which drives you crazy. I attempted to return this case to Verus and they required the customer to return 'defective' item without providing postage. How ridiculous..If you are in the marketing for new 6S plus case, please avoid this company at all cost.
