This is a comfortable, good-sounding set of headphones, with a removeable, standard cord. The Removeable boom mic is easy to adjust and sounds great to my friends.
The inclusion of a mic adds all sorts of complexity which is addressed by the collection of cords that comes with this set. You've got a PC connector for devices that have separate mic input and sound output connectors, a mic boost and in-line volume control, another cord for devices that use a single TRRS connector (like a iPhone) to handle the mic and sound circuits, and an audio-only cord with a single-button remote. The mic comes off easily so that you can use these headphones for anything. These are comfortable enough, and sound good enough that you'll want to.
Weaknesses:
- They are a little heavy, but (for my head at least) they are comfortable and well-padded enough to be comfortable for several hours.
- I would have appreciated a 3-button (iOS) remote cable.
- A bag or something to keep all of these cords together is really a requirement.

I'm really sad to post a negative review after throwing so much money at these.

I'll start with the positive: the sound quality is above average and the mic is studio quality. This version comes with multiple jacks that connect to the headphones themselves, meaning if you're swapping from PC to tablet to PS4 in somewhat rapid succession, you don't need to carry the cable with you. Just leave the proper one where the device is and carry the headphones. The over-ear cups also drown out enough noise that I couldn't hear my door being knocked on from ten feet away.

The negative: first, it carries a fair bit of interference, which isn't particularly noticeable when sound is playing, but in the absence of it is annoying. I actually suspect it amplifies but is drowned out; using these headphones for a week (at low volume levels) gave me some serious tinnitus. Second, the pictures don't really do it justice. It's a bit like those cereal boxes where in small print they read "photo enlarged to show texture". I have a very large head, and this headset, fully extended, doesn't fit it. If I tilt it backward I can fit it around my head, but then it twists my ears. I don't have particularly large ears, but they have to fold to go into the ear cups. This wouldn't bother me, except that 1) I need to wear them at an angle to fit in them and 2) after a few hours of use it causes them to lose sensation. When I take the headset off, they try to go back to normal, and it's...very unpleasant. Finally, the jack meant to work with the PS4 controller is oddly shaped, and jostling it will cause audio to cut and crackle or fade out entirely.

So, despite this coming highly recommended to me, I cannot recommend it to others. No headset I've used in the last ten years comes close my Tritton headset--even new Tritton headsets, which are just as uncomfortable and low quality as this one.

So far I've been let down. As of out of the box performance, they're not what I expected. Nowhere on this site or polks website does it explain that you need the ZX version with the included adapter has special equalizer built in for the mic monitoring. And like many other reviews have previously stated, there a nasty crackle, although this might be due to the chat pad I have connected. Will look into returning these to get the ZX versions.

These headphones are fantastic for the price. They came boxed up quite nicely, so I was already impressed when unboxing. They have just about any kind of cable you would. Be aware, though, if your laptop only has a headphone cable, the cable that you would use for that is quite short. The other cables are more appropriate lengths and they all work great.

The sound quality of these headphones is awesome and the noise cancellation aspect is even better. I would recommend these for just about any use.

Actually really impressed after I had to bend the top band since it's so durable it felt like it was crushing my face for hours at a time. Audio is unbelievable and I found myself noticing noises due to the closed ear design. But the microphone is key and I mainly bought the headset due to the microphone quality but that's not what I received. I've seen other comments about users saying the the pc cord was flawed and they weren't able to hear the left ear when the mic was plugged in. I had a much more minor problem that I didn't realize for the first week I owned them. Well, I did realize that the mic could only be heard out the left ear in recordings and I thought that was strange. I got into my microphone settings and my Audio Driver manager to see if there was a wrong setting. But my 7 year old turtle beach's microphone works perfect in stereo with the same exact connector. So extremely annoyed, I searched and searched, tried different things and it turns out, I think I got one of those defective cables except it's on the microphone side. You think a $130 headset, this problem should be nonexistent or it would have been tested since they claim audio file grade quality. So, due to the small ear cups making them somewhat uncomfortable and the dysfunctional microphone. I can't decide if I want to replace them, or just return them and spend the $35 more on a Sennheiser headset.
