This product is amazing. I wear my hair natural (4C) and my ends were seriously suffering, due to combing and recently braiding. This is my new staple. I can two-strand twist it and each piece of hair is smooth from root to end. My method is to section my hair (after a wash) into four parts, apply my leave-in-conditioner, 5 pumps of the root to tip mender, and style as usual. I also use about 5 pumps, per day, evenly distributed throughout all my hair. I doubt I will need to trim my ends for a year. My only recommendations is that the manufacturer not package it as a pump, but in a jar.

Update (5/25/2015): I strayed from using this product, and it was my sincerre "bad". I have been busy, with life, and forgot (for about 3 months) how essential my hair routine must be, to maintaining healthy hair. Trust and believe, I will NEVA' do that again. I can only speak on behalf of 4C ladies. If you want to make your wash and style job easy, use this product while you are styling your wet hair. And, use about 7 pumps a day to reduce the "frizzies" and maintain a fabulous two-strand twist. My regimen also includes Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Conditioner and Au Naturale Coil Moisturizing Souflee (orange).

My hair is natural and the ends kept breaking. I saw this product, read several reviews on it and decided to try it. So far, it has solved the problem with breaking especially at the ends of hair. I helped me. Hope it helps someone else with similar problems.
