This headset is (nearly) everything I'd hoped it would be.
I'm a longtime Logitech fan but I've tried out many other brands of headsets the last couple of years as well. I've had 2 pairs of G35s (Both broke at the ear joint in the same place) and one pair of G930s. Personally, I prefer the wired Logitech headset to the wireless ones, as the G35s I thought were generally built a tad more sturdy than the G930s.
[Comfort]
The G933 feels remarkably tight and solid for how light it is; doesn't feel too flimsy like a pair of G930s or G4/230s. It's hard to describe how it feels when they grip your ears, I've never had another headset like this one - there's almost a horizontal pressure coming from the muffs allowing them to evenly clamp to your head. It's a strange sensation but it works and I like it. There is an incredible amount of swivel in the ears if that's what you're into, like G930s plus maybe 10% wider range. Not a critical feature, but you know, some people gotta have that swivel - Logitech's got you covered.
These are not leather(y) like G930s or G35s, at least, not in the same sense. I'm not actually sure what material this is. I also own a pair of Astro A40s and a pair of Sennheiser Game Ones, and even though those headsets are comfortable to wear, I'm not a huge fan of that fabric material they use - I've always thought a leathery feel to the muffs was a little nicer to wear for gaming and working but sometimes when it's hot the leather can make my ears a little sweaty too (I'm in AZ so it's hot often) - it's a trade-off. I don't know what Logitech did but they were able to perfectly blend the two - the muffs have the rigidity and sound sealing quality and feel of leather, but with the softness and give of fabric.Read more ›

Disclaimer: I'm not an audiophile, just a random gamer! Picked up my G933 today to replace the G930 I've owned for just shy of 3 years. (Ear cups were starting to peel and disconnects more frequent, so I figured it was about time.)
Appearance/Feel
Right out of the box, I already loved the design. Even if most of it is plastic, this headset looks sturdy. The microphone looked a bit weird, but being foldable and retractable has its benefits.
The buttons are all on the left side. One improvement (in my opinion) was the power button - it's now a slide button! Not sure if anyone else experienced this issue, but I found myself having to push the power button on my old G930's really long and hard for it to register. Got a bit frustrating at times if I didn't push it at just the right way. The buttons felt crisp to the touch, although it does require a little more pressure to push down compared to the G930's keys. The volume scroll was responsive as expected. Makes a light sound indicating you've increased or decreased volume, which may or may not get annoying.
And of course, let's not forget the LED lights. To be 100% honest - as awesome as they are, I can't see them anyways, so I'll likely have them off as they'd drain batteries a bit. That said.. when I first powered on the headset, and the lights started pulsing.. was a nice sight to behold, so I'll leave it at that. If you are a streamer, or have friends over, or want to pretend you're a pro player, you can have fun customizing the lighting.
The ear cups are different from the G930's, using a soft mesh material that's more breathable. More on comfort later.

I bought a set of these a week ago at the Logitech booth at PAX Prime 2015 (Logitech had them for sale at their booth, ahead of general availability.) They're comfortable enough to wear for hours on end, sound quality is high both in the cans and the flip down microphone.
The construction of the headset itself feels a tad plasticy, not too cheap feeling, but not expensive feeling either. Just reasonably solid. The tags on the sides are held in place by magnets and come off easily, and are put back on just as easily too. I expect custom tags will be available in the near future if you're interested in such things. The fold away microphone is a nice touch. When it's folded into the headset it not even noticeable, and the microphone gets automatically muted. There's also a red LED on the microphone to let you know when the mic is muted. Another nice touch.
The audio quality is great. Rivals my old Sennheiser 350 gaming headset, even better when you factor in that the USB connection isn't at the mercy of crappy onboard audio connections.
All of the cables are standard and replaceable. The USB cable is a standard micro USB cable and the 3.5mm cable is a standard cable with phone controls on it. Both cables included are of high quality, and if they ever break they're easily replaceable too. Major points to the designers at Logitech there. After having multiple headsets fail because of cable issues I can't stress enough how great it is to see standard replaceable cables on this thing. The padding on the ear cups comes off and is put back on really easily too. I could see it being possible to replace that when it starts falling apart and still having a perfectly good usable set of headphones.
