I fall often as neuropathy has killed the nerves in my feet. I learned the hard way when I fell with a macbook pro and broke the display, even though I had a case on it. By accident I discovered this Thule, which while more expensive, is built to guard one's laptop against drops and has been tested from 3 ft and worked. It's bigger than most but the extra protection is worth both its size and cost.

An excellent addition to the 13" MBP! Fits perfectly, cutouts match ports, easily installed & well made. Doesn't get in the way of the keyboard, trackpad or screen. Additionally, the rubber feet raise the MBP just slightly enough to allow airflow underneath & help keep the MBP cooler. A minimalist approach that works & works well. For the money you can't go wrong.

Really like this case -- makes the MacBook easier to carry, and it sits up just a little bit on the counter, which seems like a good idea. I don't even think about the fact that my computer has a case now. I like the transparent cover. Feels very secure and safe. No issues with opening/closing for me.

This bumper REALLY makes the MacBook Pro look great. It stands out, and makes it a conversation starter. I even changed the look a little further by adding a color carbon skin from iCarbons.com. Everywhere they go, people are asking them what is it and where they got it. Since I got that skin, I didn't use the plastic shield that it came with. But I guess you still can if you want.
