You definitely get what you pay for! I've purchased seat covers for around $20-$30 in the past, but found they were flimsy material, didn't stay in place, faded badly due to poor quality, and ripped. My dog is 50 pounds, loves road trips, but can be a bit rambunctious, so a good seat cover is a must to keep my seats safe.
This cover is of a sturdier canvas (or at least canvas-like) material and quilted. The straps are sewn in and reinforced (I ripped my last one from another maker), which hold it to the head rests. They are also adjustable to fit over most head rests. It has anchors that tuck between the seat and seat back, and a non-slip type surface on the area that lies over the seat. The cover has holes that velcro closed when the seat belt buckles are not in use, or to easily allow access to the buckles. What I like is that it allows you to close up the hole around the buckle, better sealing it to prevent hair and dirt from getting through.I do tend to buckle my dog in with a harness and clip, but love the hammock option since he is still able to reach and scratch the center console. On that note, it's very versatile, in that I can use it as a seat cover, or to cover the entire back area if the seats are down, which we tend to do on longer trips.
I did find it fit off for my 2015 Jeep Patriot. It fit over the head rests with the straps loosened to the largest size. Essentially, it doesn't lie totally flat on the back of the seat, though, it still gets the job done. Because this has a hammock option, it does mean I have excess material hanging if I use it just as a seat cover, which doesn't quite fit over the middle hump on the floor. Overall, those are things I can live with. I'm extremely impressed with the quality, and the little attention to details, described above, that really make this cover effective.
