This is great handmade leather journal. It is very well made. I got the scarlet one but there are other colors available to purchase. It has elastic to close the journal. The elastic has a cute deer charm. To protect the outer edge of the journal from elastic, it has a piece of leather which makes is more attractive.
The journal has 3 kind of pages. Blank paper, with lines and kraft paper. You can use the papers according to your need. It has 32 sheets/ 64 pages in the journal. It is perfect to write the diary important dates of your family(birth, death etc), write your favorite poems or verses, etc
I am going to use this diary for recording my memories about my journey. Soon I am traveling out of US so I am planing to take this leather journal with me.
This leather journal has no smell. It is very smooth from outside and inside it has little texture. The leather is thick, flexible and has good quality.
You can clearly see that this wonderful journal is handmade. It is perfect for present.
I would recommend this beautiful leather journal.

I have the mustard colored journal with three different notebooks inside. This journal is made of real leather that is very soft, almost too soft as it is a bit floppy. The journal secures with am elastic band and opens to reveal three different types of paper. There is a notebook with lined paper, one with brown paper, and the last with unlined white paper. These do not secure with rings but are held in place with a long elastic band on the inside of the journal. You can slip the entire notebook out, not single pages, so essentially this is three different notebooks in one journal.
The paper is nice and thick and pens, even gel and markers. do not leak through to the other side. The journal doesn't lie flat when writing in it but it be adjusted so that one can write in it without having to hold it open. The outside leather is a bit weathered - as it should be - to look vintage. It will scratch a bit but that adds to the vintage look. Inside, the leather is suede-like, soft and nubby. I am looking for notebook refills because there isn't many pages per section and I will use the lined section mostly. I have not yet seen the refills for this and am hoping to find them here. As a journal lover who owns dozens of them of all types, this Linshi Journal is one of the most unique. It isn't the most useful because I don't have a need for plain brown paper but I like that it has three sections and any section can be completely removed by simply sliding the whole notebook out. I can then replace it with a different one if I can find the refills I need.
In all, this is a great addition to my journal collection and I do use it. I have other leather journals that I can't bring myself to actually use which is dumb but that is how much I covet journals.Read more ›
