The grass had taken over the whole pot, and is growing quite well. I put it next to the window and water it once a day. It last for about three weeks now and keep growing.
PS: About a week ago I found mold grew in the pot and contact the company. They told me to rain the whole pot with fresh water (softly) for few minutes, then remove excess water and put it under direct sun for a day or two. I did it and the mold problem was gone. They suggest me to repeat it twice a month so the mold would not come back. I’m very satisfied with their great product and service.

It does says USDA certificate on the package and I assume the seeds were grown without any sort of fertilizer or chemicals, which is important to cats. Why buy organic seeds? Here’s reasons (from google):
• Because seed crops are heavy users of synthetic agricultural chemicals (they are in the ground longer and have less chemical restrictions than food crops).
• Because seed produced organically will yield plants that are more adapted to, and more likely to thrive under, organic growing conditions.
When you buy organic seed, you have the assurance that the seed was grown without synthetic chemicals, it guaranteed the germination rate. Also, the outcome of non-organic seeds would carry fertilizer and chemicals even if you grow them organically. And most agricultural chemicals ARE FATAL TO CATS. Maybe I am over worried but I’d like to pay a few dollars more to protect my cat away from any sort of potential risks.

I purchased the cat grass in plastic container like a month ago and I had no problem growing this product. The instruction is very informative, you only need to follow it step by step. However for cat grass in ceramic pot, it says “keep container lid closed” in the instruction but there is no lid for it. The company explained to me there’s actually no lid needed and I only need to keep the pot moist and do not let the water line over the expanded water beads. I was confused at first but I decided to follow what they said. In about 2 days, the seeds started to sprout and after a full week it grew like 6 inch tall. I have three cats, these two cat grass kits are more than enough for them. Now it’s already been a month the grass still keep growing. I am immensely pleased.

I thought I had ordered the ceramic version, but must have clicked the wrong button at check out. Disappointed because the plastic container is a bit cheap looking, but that's my fault for not paying better attention. Excited to see how the plant grows.

This is great for a few weeks, after that the grass starts to brown and the beads get a bit moldy and smell bad. They aren't particularly easy to clean without tearing them, but hopefully I'll learn more patience with handling and cleaning them. I've ordered bulk sweet oat seeds elsewhere to use in it so I can rotate this with another and keep a constant supply of grass. What would make this even better would be some sort of "grate" that locks in place to keep the beads from being pulled out so I could just let my kitty eat it when she wanted without worrying about her eating a bead or pulling the grass out by the roots. Trimming the tops to give her gets a little messy, not enough to deter from doing it that way, but...Overall happy with it, nice heavy receptacle that looks cute in the windowsill until the grass goes dead. I'm sure that's a problem with any of them.

These are very easy to grow, but they doesn't like direct strong sunlight, so bright indirect light is best. With in days the entire container was lush and green. If your cats need a little encouragement to eat the grass, you can sprinkle a little catnip over the grass, assuming they like catnip (most cats do).

If your cat is out in the yard eating stuff you don't know about, this is a good way to provide some healthy greens for him to consume. It is healthy when grown in a moisture pure environment after boiling the water. It is very easy to grow, which takes about 5 days to have the sprouts coming out. Me and my cat like it so I have ordered more for him.

I have planted this kind of grass for months since my cat loves it. Recently got the advice from a coworker not to do anything special to germinate the seeds. I put about a half an inch of soil in a round chinese takeout container, sprinkled the seeds over the dirt, sprinkled some more dirt over the seeds until they were pretty much all covered, spritzed them well with water, then put a lid on the container loosely. They germinated in days and I had the lid off in just a few more. About a week later, I gained 3-4 inches of grass. It is not an exaggeration, as long as you have the right metod, for the price of two pots at the pet store, you get a year's supply!
