I have used Tide for over 20 years...until now. This is by far the best laundry detergent I've ever used. The color clothes are brighter and the whites are as white as new. I am so impressed with how well this detergent cleans that I had to do a review to let everyone know it's worth trying.
I washed a few of my sweaters that had stains in them that I couldn't get out with Tide and the stains are GONE!

Persil Pro Clean products are now available at WalMart. I've never used this popular European detergent, but the recent $2 and $3 off coupons were a good reason to give Persil a try. Now I know why it is a top rated brand in other countries. Persil cleans very well and smells remarkably fresh. But here's what impressed me the most--its low sudsing quality. There is very little sudsing action while agitating in our top-loading washer, and I also see no suds in the laundry tub after a load is done. That's a first with any detergent I have ever used. Clothes get very clean and are thoroughly rinsed of any detergent residue. Persil does an especially good job on white socks--the difference was immediately noticeable.

I'm impressed with Pro Clean 2 in 1, but this detergent comes in different formulations and is competitively priced with other major brands. Currently the 100 oz. size retails for $11.97 at WalMart, but the coupons make this 50 load size a good bargain. Persil's website also offers promotions and coupons--it's worth visiting.

I recently came across Persil ProClean at Walmart and was thrilled to see another alternative to Tide. I have been a faithful Tide user for 9 years (since I had my first child and needed better detergent), but I was curious whether another detergent could beat it. I used Persil in Europe many years ago and remembered that I loved the smell, so I tried it. YES! Persil is as effective - even more so - than Tide, especially on whites. I notice that it eliminates the dinginess that Tide seemed to leave behind. I use it primarily with warm and hot washes, but it performs equally well in cold. There is a different Persil detergent for whites that looks like little white pebbles in a similar type of container that works well on both whites and colors. The best part - besides the lack of dinginess - is the lingering clean smell. Even if I don't use softener, I notice Persil leaves a MUCH cleaner, fresher smell behind. This gives me the impression that it is indeed cleaner than it has been in 9 years. I didn't know what I was missing! Hopefully other retailers (Costco, PEASE!!) will pick this up soon. Try it - you'll be impressed!

I recently purchased this in Walmart, and used it on my bedding after my dog vomited all over it. It smells so fresh and clean. Seriously can smell clean bedding from a few feet away. One quilt is a denim one, with patches of dark denim and white denim. I was shocked on how bright the white in the blanket now looks. No detergent has done such a good job on this quilt especially considering the rest of the load was dark. Will definitely buy again.

Great detergent. Foams less than most mainstream American brands. Has a nice fresh clean scent that isn't overwhelming... The detergent did an excellent job removing an old grease stain from a pair of light work pants, which wouldn't come off after repeated attempts using other detergents... A little on the pricey side, but I think its worth it, as its left my laundry clean, bright, and fresh...

If we could give a product no stars, this would be the one. While it does clean well, this detergent leaves a very distinct musty odor behind. Even to the point of smelling like vomit. My husband and I went crazy trying to rewash all the clothes that had been washed with this detergent. We thought perhaps it was because we left them in the washer too long or because we washed them after a very dirty load. But after rewashing and doing two clean washer cycles, no change in pungent smell left behind. We do not recommend this detergent.

I was asked to review Persil Proclean liquid detergent for free in exchange for an honest review. I received a coupon for one free bottle of detergent. I have done several loads of laundry with it so far and have been very happy with the results. It leaves the laundry smelling fresh and clean, and it is fantastic for getting out stains. I used it on several stained pieces of clothing that I thought I would have to throw away and I am happy to say, it got the stains out. It has gotten out grass stains, blood, mud, coffee and bright red candy stains from when my little ones left now & later in their pockets. It is a bit on the expensive side, but if you have clothes that are heavily soiled and stained, it's worth it. I will probably purchase this in the future but because of cost, may not use it for every day laundry. I wouldn't hesitate to use it for all my laundry if I could afford to though. The pictures speak for themselves. Before and after pictures of a nasty red candy stain. I dabbed a bit of detergent on the stain itself and rubbed it into the fabric. Threw it in the wash and it came out clean with just one washing. Impressive! I tried getting a stain out of another garment (from same candy) with Tide detergent and it didn't come out. The stain lightened but was still there. Persil is amazing at getting out stains!
