With all the criticism of selfie sticks, I thought I would never get one. So, when the manufacturer contacted me to request a review, I was skeptical. But I LOVE this device and its features. I also discovered it’s not just for the narcissistic. This is great for group pics and candid shots as well as selfies. Also, as a video artist, I find it works well to provide subjects with this device to video themselves and get excellent footage.

PROS OF THIS BRAND
I was really surprised by the features of this device.

- Compact with long extension (telescopic design).
- Spring-loaded phone clasp. The clasp grips the phone with a very strong grip.
- Rotating clasp. You can rotate the clasp and then screw it into place at any angle.
- Easy to use. Just plug your phone into the stick (the jack is included) and use the button on the handle to snap pics. No need to charge the device or pair the devices.
- Comfortable handle grip. The handle is high-quality non-slip rubber.
- Excellent construction. This is not a cheaply made device. It’s sturdy and strong.
- Light-weight. Even though it’s so sturdy, it’s also light-weight and easy to carry.
- Carry bag and lanyard. Convenient!

SOFTWARE NEEDED
My Galaxy required that I download software called “Camera 360” to use with this selfie stick, but that was a breeze, and I love the camera app—it has a lot of editing options that I didn’t have with the camera app that came with my phone.

Overall, highly recommend! We love it!

I have a large, very sturdy, "professional" monopod with attachments and it is great. However, it isn't very compact and sticks out of most of the bags I try to put it in. Also, it is Bluetooth and I sometimes forget to charge it.

Although this one isn't on the same level as the other one, it definitely has its benefits. First of all, it is VERY compact. It fits easily in my hand, and I have small hands, even for a woman. It even slides into the back pocket of my jeans with no issues. Putting it in a purse is definitely not an issue. Also, I was surprised that I also liked that it has a cord. It plugs in easily to your phone's headphone jack and has no trouble taking pics. And you don't need to worry about charging it ever.

You can use the higher megapixel forward facing camera on your phone because it has a little mirror on it. It fit my iphone 4S with the Otterbox case on it just fine, however, it didn't fit my Note Edge (which is one of the largest phones on the market).

The only thing I wish was a little different was that I wish there was somewhere to hold the cord so it doesn't flop around. Also, the knob that adjusts the tightness of the holder at the top never fully closes. So, although it holds its place just fine, it can get knocked out of place because the knob is never fully tight.

Overall, this is a nice selfie stick.

I received this item as sample for review, either free or at a discount. I am keeping it for permanent personal use. These are my honest thoughts.

This selfie stick is more sturdy than the previous more expensive one that I ordered. I have no complaints about it. I like that its corded so I don't use up my battery with multiple bluetooth connections.

I ordered this selfie stick for my daughter because she broke her other one. She is obsessed with taking selfies with her friends and our dogs. This one is easier to figure out and use than the last one. The directions are very simple so this would be great for a beginner selfie stick user. I like that it does not require batteries or charging. It comes with a bag to keep it in and that is great since it is small and not hard to take with you. Easy to fit in a purse or backpack. She also uses it to hold her phone on her night stand to watch movies on it. Disclaimer: I received a sample of this product at a highly discounted price or free in exchange for a detailed and honest review. The fact that it cost me very little or was free has no bearing on my rating or review of the product - this product has earned the rating I have given it.

Disclaimer: I was given a sample of this product in return for my fair, judicious, unbiased review. Never *emotional*. Oh, no. not ever.

When I was contacted with this offer, I rolled my eyes a little. I used some good video and camera equipment for work and good ones don't come cheap. The workmanship, the materials, design... blah, blah, blah. Still I kinda hoped. Something as portable as the cell phone would be awfully nice for the price.

It arrived and I was pleasantly surprised by the weight of the stick. Good rubbery grip. It's incredibly compact, about the size of a granola bar. Fits nicely in your hand. One piece - nice and simple.

Well, life threw me a hiccup and I ended up mixing up the parts, cases and most importantly instruction manuals for... ahhh, several projects.

Guilty conscience pricking away madly, I found the stick and my cell phone (Galaxy S4). Wing it without the manual!

Well, I plugged into the headphone jack and the audio on my phone promptly went silent. Does this mean I cannot play music or even worse audio instructions while taking photos? What if someone calls? Skype to the rescue! Yes, the phone rang and Skype overrode the camera app. The audio went to the phone speaker. No, someone hasn't called me yet from a landline yet. Alas, I can't test phone apps well, there are so many. As for my only music app- straight to the headphone jack.

So far, so good. So how does this hold the phone? Oh, it unfolds and you pull it apart - then you mount the phone in between just like a cell phone holder for a car. Only, this one is really, really stiff and hard to force apart. I almost dropped the phone trying to pull and insert with only two hands. It loosens up as you use it. But not by much.Read more ›
