I ordered these when I saw that the Catit Senses 2.0 track now comes with a non-illuminating rubber ball instead of the light-up ball from the original product. I thought, "well that's less exciting, my cat will have fun with the blinky kind!"

That said, I think there's 2 good reasons they switched out the ball:

1) weight: the plastic balls are smaller in diameter and don't carry a lot of momentum. The rubber ball they use now will roll farther and more smoothly after the cat hits it
2) reliability: these are pretty cheaply done. Out of the two I received, one of them was already blinking in the package (the battery tab fell out) so who knows how long the battery will go, and the other one isn't sensitive enough to movement. You have to flick it kind of hard for it to light up.

And at the end of the day, when they stop blinking, the rubber ball has all of the physical advantages described above. I wouldn't bother with these.

Absolutely terrible design. The way these work, there's a spring with a post through the center. That's the switch that turns them on when moved. Unfortunately, and sharp jolt to them can make the post get tangled through the spring, and then they won't shut off. Worse yet, there's NO WAY TO REPLACE THE BATTERIES! What were these people thinking? I now have two of these balls that do nothing, and no way to make them work again without breaking them open.

These arrived yesterday, I was planning on using it with my wave track. They are poorly made and one of them won't turn off, so it won't last very long. Also, my cat barely plays with it, even after I have tried several track variations. It does look nice though, but not sure if it was worth it.

Received these yesterday to go with the Catit Senses 2.0 Wave Circuit. One of the balls was broken- the lights didn't work and there were broken pieces of plastic inside the ball. The other ball was completely fine. Luckily my cat loves the sound of the plastic jingling in the broken one.

These are smaller than the ball that comes with the set. I like the size better for the Senses 2 product. The light doesn't stay on all the time, even if it is in motion. But it's cool! Cats use this outside of the Senses 2, as well. It's heavier than other cat balls, so it makes a nice sound on the wood floor.

Unfortunately, the plastic tabs that were supposed to be in the ball were broken and the balls were already activated. They still are flashing, but it's impossible to replace the battery when I need to. They do light up with barely any motion required which is nice.

Cheaply made and one of the balls doesn't even work. Good news is there a lot less sensetive that the originals. Those I could just walk across the the room and they would light up. My cats much prefer the lighted balls vs non-lighted.

Really amazing flashing balls. Cats love them. The balls light up when they move. Once they stop moving the balls will turn off. Give or take a few seconds. Bought them to use in our Catit circuit course.
