Update after 2 months of use:
If I had to buy it again now, I probably wouldn't!
The main reason is that there is a BIG problem with the touchpad, and apparently it happens a lot with Dell laptops (search "Dell touchpad freeze). It would freeze without any reason, and if I plug in a mouse and then unplug it, the touchpad will simply stop working until I reboot.
I have reinstalled the driver, but it doesn't work. I am really disappointed at Dell, as I thought they were a quality brand.

Here is my original review:
When I saw this laptop, I thought it would be perfect for me, and I haven’t been disappointed after a few days:
- the 8GB RAM are really useful and make it really quick (I often work with video and graphic design software),
- the sound is pretty clear and can be turned on fairly high,
- the battery life is good (more than 5h playing games, editing video and watching videos,
- the backlit keyboard is a cool feature,
- Wifi works well,
- nice design and good price!
Plus, it has this touchscreen, which I was curious for, but I haven’t found a true interest of having this on a non 2-in-1 laptop. It’s just fun to scroll or zoom on pictures with your fingers sometimes. Maybe I’ll find a better function with usage.
I received it on time, and had no problem starting it and installing any app.

A few things I don’t like and that I want to share as it surprised me:
- The touchpad is weird: the scroll is very slow, even after changing the settings.
- It’s pretty heavy!
- There is no light that indicates if the laptop is on, or if the wifi/Bluetooth is activated… I know it’s a detail, but I was used to it.
- It’s not possible to turn off the sound of the Windows notifications without turning off the all notifications or the sound (it is a Windows 10 issue).

Anyway, I think that's a great laptop, just need to get used to its specificities.

Forget the competition! I've had them all, similar laptops that I've had from HP and Lenovo, can't hold a candle to this unit.

First, lets start with stylish exterior, you can feel the quality of the finish and the precision fit and finish of this product, unlike the consumer-grade crap you'll get from HP.

Next, I want to thank Dell for not loading the unit with marketing crapware, like HP and Lenovo do, this unit boots quickly and cleanly!

I got this unit for my 12 year old daughter and the bring-up was seamless, no drivers to find and load, or even to update! Bravo again to Dell.

Lastly, lets talk features! The keyboard is back-lit, which is a very nice feature that you usually don't find, and the screen is a touch-screen too, even though neither Amazon or Dell seem to be trumpeting these features.

Finally, lets talk battery performance! This unit gets awesome battery performance while still being lightweight, even when my daughter plays Minecraft on it!

So, as far as price/performance/quality this unit is the way to go, as I strongly recommend this device for anyone needing a Windows 10 Laptop PC!

Everything worked as advertised except I could not disable the tap-to-click feature on the touchpad. I may be a bit old school, but, the tap feature is a huge nuisance. I made every attempt to correct it, to no luck. And, using Windows to disable it made the touchpad quirky. After 3 lengthy calls to Dell, I decided to return it.

If the tap feature is something you enjoy, then I'd recommend this computer.

So far I've been pretty happy with this computer. It's comfortable, quiet, fast...overall an improvement over my four year old Toshiba. Originally had planned to replace with another Toshiba, but I found that the edges where your wrists rest was uncomfortably sharp. I also tried an HP and hated it. Took a chance with this even though I have not been impressed by Dell in the past. I have been pleasantly surprised with how well I like this and Windows 10 is nice too.

My only issue so far has been that the WiFi disappeared. Drivers were gone and WiFi was no longer an option. Turned out that I had to update the drivers through Intel. Substantial pain in the behind when you can't go online to do so. Had to find an actual cord and connect to the internet that way. Since then, things seem okay.
