Great price for such a nice metronome. I had one as a kid when I was leaning to play & read music and it is a big help. My husband plays guitar and my kids are just starting to take an interest in learning music so it is going to be great for them to all use it when they play. This metronome is easy to use and works great. It looks beautiful, it has a mahogany finish that looks very real but it is actually a durable plastic. I could not tell it was plastic without touching it and tapping on it. All of the working parts of the metronome are metal and very well made. It keeps rhythm for a long time. It can be adjusted with the slide to be 40-208 beats per minute which is a nice range. I always like having the visual cue of the rhythm along with the sound to help keep me on beat. There is also a "beat bell" it is a pull out slide that you can select to be off, ding on every other beat (or 3, 4, 6th) which can also help to keep track. I really like this feature for some songs and I don't recall my old one having this when I was a kid or I just didn't know how to use it lol. Even with all of the cool technology available with apps & electronic gadgets it is nice to have a traditional style because it is more effective.
Before using this metronome you will need to remove the bottom cover to take out the protective foam holding the pendulum for transport it requires something like a flat head screwdriver to open it, I was able to pry it open with a dime easily and it is ready to be set up and go.
The unit comes bubble wrapped in a nice box very securely and it has instructions and a microfibre cloth for cleaning. I like that it has a 2 year warranty too so I don't have to worry.
I was given a discount for quality testing and review. Overall this metronome works great, looks nice and I am very happy with it. It will be great through the years for my little ones to learn to play different instruments.

I love this metronome!!! I've wanted one in this style for some time, but they are a little pricier. While it may cost more, it's so much better than the cheaper alternatives. I have a small electronic one that works pretty well, but this is so much better and makes it easier for me to play my piano. It's easy to move the weight on the pendulum to the correct tempo and you just let it go! There's a winding key on the side so that it doesn't require batteries. One of the things that I like best about it is the selector on the right next to the winding key. With this, you can choose how many beats are in each measure and it adds another sound every x number of beats. I love playing along with this metronome!
