Great live version of one of my all-time favorite albums. I was lucky enough to attend his concert back in 2011, and listening to this takes me right back to that show. If you saw 'The Wall' live during its run, you will enjoy this album.

While I agree with others here concerning his voice different or more strained in some songs, he is over 70 now and will not sound like he did when he was in his 30's. I personally did not find it particularity distracting and it adds to the overall feeling of desperation in the songs. Let's be brutally honest here, as OCD as Roger Waters is about his music, legacy, and particularly his magnum opus 'The Wall', there is no way he would have released a sub-par album.

I thought the album was produced and mastered very well. I think it sounded much cleaner than Pink Floyd's 'Is There Anybody Out There' live album, despite that version featuring all of the original members in their prime. However, when listening to that album with some good headphones (Philips Fidelio X2 highly recommended), you can easily hear some rough areas on it. Some versions of the songs I prefer on this release, while other live versions of these songs are better on his other live albums.

I will say my personal favorite live album from Roger Waters was his 'In the Flesh: Live' album, and I highly recommend that one as well.

In closing, this version doesn't really give you anything different than 'Live in Berlin' or 'Is There Anybody Out There', but as a fan who dropped some serious dough to see the concert live, it's just another few bucks to add to my Pink Floyd / Roger Waters / David Gilmour collection.

***EDIT 11/26/15***

I was listening to the album again while outside in my yard, using my Sony MDR1RBT headphones.

Received the vinyl today and it hit the platter. What a great show this was. It was nice to hear the performance without the visuals. Now regarding the vinyl. Not the quietest pressing mainly in the quiet parts but nothing distracting. However Disc 2 clearly had the most noticeable noise. Will clean on this VPI and see if that addresses this. Nice little insert of photos but not close to a tour program. Enjoy!!

I've read all the reviews, both positive and negative. I won't delve into Rog's politics, nor the inclusion of same in EVERY one of his shows, regardless of the concept. I'll skip the discussion on whether or not the premise of the movie and the non-concert footage is apropos and/or merits inclusion here. The show is simply great! No, it's NOT Pink Floyd! David, Rick and Nick are conspicuous by their absence, but this is a Roger Waters solo endeavor. The HD/HQ video and audio quality are stellar, The musicians are certainly professional and more-than-competent, and the show is choreographed beautifully with outstanding CGI special EFX. I thought what little "updates" that were incorporated into the production over previous incarnations, including Rog's obligatory political leanings were mostly innocuous and were integrated seamlessly. If I had to levy criticism, I would have also preferred the option of skipping the narrative and just playing the uninterrupted concert. In addition, the live concert audio appears (to my ears) to have been dubbed. Whether it was with studio recording(s), or audio from other show(s), I don't know. It's excellent, but just doesn't seem to be quite "live"...you have to experience it to understand what I'm saying.

Regardless, Highly Recommended! Enjoy!

Why are the reviewers claiming the sound is subpar? Don't know what kind of receiver y'all have, I got an old school Onkyo in surround with a subwoofer and it sounds phenomenal. The highs are there the echo is there the bass is there, as good as it gets to this 50 year old set of ears -
Tough to top Mother on In the flesh live, but this version is awesome too, the whole album's incredible from start to finish -
When an artist releases multiple live albums, you don't want a carbon copy of the one before, this one is just different enough that after a couple of listens, you learn to love and appreciate it in its own way, it isn't about whether or not this newest the Wall live is as good or better than In the flesh live, they are both outstanding on their own merits -
Personally I find myself playing this latest incarnation quite a bit lately, both Gilmour and Waters have a lot to be proud of and a lot to be thankful for, and whether they're together or standing on their own they continue to put out one remarkable product after another -
Big time props and love to Roger Waters and his band for once again enhancing our lives with this amazing and beautiful music

I LOVE IT. Sounds like the Rock Opera it is suppose to be. Have been a wall fan my entire life and is one of my all time favorite albums. I wish I got the DVD to this but it had taken over the car and we ONLY listen to it. I also Have the Roger Waters DVD and he does Dogs on that one. AWESOME. A must just for that one song. I was hoping that the guitarist Dyole would have played with him on the wall. He is SSOOOOO good. He plays a Strat upside down with low string on the bottom and high E on the top. I d o not even know how he pulls this off being a guitarist but he does and with such feel that can only be achieved by Gilmore and himself. Read about him. He started with Stevie Ray Vaughn. This CD is my first CD I have purchased in a VERY long time. No disappointment here. You will love it. Thank you for for delivering it so fast and giving me all the MP#'s to go along wit it. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you...'
