Wow, these are nice quality colored pencils! I lost a set of Prismacolors and was really missing them. I purchased a set of Prang colored pencils and these, wanting a good quality set at a reasonable price. These are hands-down my favorite. They have a rich color and draw with a creamy smooth feel that I adore. They're not at all dry, brittle or gritty like some colored pencils.
In the first picture I drew with Prang brand on the LEFT and Siensync on the RIGHT on a strip of thick white cardstock. You can see the Prang pencils did just fine but they have a bit of "patterning" to them, as if I was doing a rubbing of a wood grain. The picture shows the gritty texture of the line they left better than I can explain it - Prang just didn't color super smooth. The Siensync on the other hand color like butter and lay down a beautiful, rich hue. I was able to do fine detail work and handlettering with them or I could press harder, which I did with the red color sample, to achieve thick, vibrantly bold lines.
I'm a graphic artist but I indulge in doodle work here and there. THESE are the kind of colored pencils I was hoping to find for my artistic endeavors! I'm quite pleased with them and so glad that I spent a little more on the 48 pack to get an array of colors!

I bought the 72 pencil set, and overall, I'm very pleased with them. I found a couple that aren't quite true to the color they appear to be. For instance, there is a green pencil (550, I believe, but I can't remember for sure, at the moment) whose lead is a vivid, almost neon green, but when put to paper ends up being avocado. I only experienced this with a couple pencils, and it isn't the norm, as the ends and tips are generally a good representation of the actual colors. There are also a couple pencils that aren't as pigmented as the others and require a heavier hand, but again, that is by no means representative of the entire box. I received them with a single broken lead, again, no big deal out of a box of 72 pencils. For the most part, I found these pencils very vivid and richly pigmented. I didn't have to press hard or go over an area repeatedly for the colors to transfer nicely. Blending and shading were a breeze. I purchased this set at a discount that I received in exchange for my testing and an honest review. I've picked up coloring as a hobby and stress management tool, and am glad to have picked up these pencils. I'm even happier that I chose the large box, as there are a few colors that are similar, but I haven't found any duplicates. If you're into drawing or coloring, I recommend these.

During a recent radio program I heard that adult coloring books helped during periods of depression, stress or grief. I ordered an adult coloring book and a set of color pencils for my wife that was grieving the impending death of her mother due to cancer. She took time every day to color some scenes on the book. She was satisfied with the book but not so much with the coloring pencils. I saw these pencils in Amazon and ordered them. When they arrived I opened the box and tried them. They color evenly and the intensity of the color varies with how much pressure s applied. When my wife started using them she was extremely pleased, she said that the colors were vibrant and that she no longer have to be changing pencils to vary the tones of each color. She said that they glide effortlessly on the paper and color without straining. My wife also said that they are easier for her to grip since the sides are faceted and less thick than round pencils.

This is a wonderful set of colored pencils with such a large selection of beautiful colors! I purchased these to use with my adult coloring books that I use as a stress reliever. There are colors in every hue and when you open the box it's like opening the giant box of crayons. It felt kind of nostalgic, like getting school supplies at the beginning of the school year. These pencils write nice and smoothly and produce a nice uniform stroke. I'm very pleased. A couple of minor cons: If you remember your box of crayons, they were tiered where you could see the different colors, but these were all one level and the cardboard covers the top of the pencils. So if you really want to see your colors to select them, you will probably need a different way to store them other than the box they come in. Three of my pencil tips were broken when I received them. They are easily sharpened. I did buy these at a discount during a promotion in exchange for my honest review. I would gladly pay full price for them.

I bought this set of 48 colored pencils along with some stress relieving coloring books (not because I am stressed but who doesn't love coloring calming, mesmerizing patterns?) and I LOVE them. They come in a veritable rainbow that includes some often overlooked colors like gold and silver.
This is a really nice set - it includes all the basic colors on the color wheel, as well as variations of all the colors with slightly different tones. They color smoothly and clearly and the color goes on the pages evenly.The box package is nice and the pencils were all intact - nothing broken. The pencils sit nicely in your grasp and don't feel uncomfortable at all, even when using for a long time like I do. Maybe if I were to be nitpicky I would comment there is a slightly odd odor to these pencils but I'm guessing it will probably diminish once they're out of the package and air out a bit. That's not enough to make me dislike the set in any way though.
