I finally had tested these things out today and they are wonderful. The sound quality is fantastic! These are a little odd shaped compared to the ones I usually use. These earbuds come with three different sizes of covers, perfect for those of us with smaller ears. These earbuds are super comfortable to wear. I like that the plug is at a 90 degree angle; I'm hoping that will help with the life since I use them with my phone and an armband at the gym. It seems like this would put less stress on the connection, but only time will tell. I would definitely buy these again.

Alright. I was already a Jlab fan. The J4s have been a staple in my earbud library. But these are truly amazing. These are the first pair of buds that not only truly feel comfortable, but also sound great. And at the price point I can have a pair at work, a pair in the car and several at home. I wasn't sold on the new look and design. Until I tried it. I can't image how earbuds were done before. Their comfortable (even laying down!). My ONLY gripe is the cord feels weak. Only time and use will tell. I'll update accordingly.

I feel like I'm gonna have to go back and give the J5 Jbuds five stars. And that's because these JBuds2 are decent for budget earbuds, they don't deserve a 3, but they're not great.

Okay I've had these earbuds for a few days now, I'll have to go back and edit this later on, let you all know how long they last. But as of now, one thing does worry me. On pricier Jbuds, such as the J5s, the cord going into the ear pieces of the earbuds, aren't just loosely hanging there. They normally have a little extra rubbery piece that holds the cord in place. The Jbuds2 however, just loosely hang there. I've had cheapy non Jlabs earbuds like this before, and eventually the cord and wires would start to easily get pulled out of the ear piece and stop working at some point.

Another thing I don't like about these earbuds, is sometimes I feel like I have to turn the volume higher up than I normally would for earbuds. The whole point of earbuds, is to have better sounds right in your ears, instead of turning up the volume on something ridiculously high, just to hear decent music or sounds out of built in speakers. So the fact that these earbuds seem even too quiet still on lower volumes, is somewhat of a negative.

On the upside, these earbuds are really cheap and much better than $5-10 earbuds you would buy in a store. They have way better sound than a recent junk backup pair I was using. If you're on a tight budget, I highly recommend these over buying cheapo earbuds from a store. If you have the extra cash though, I'd suggest you get the J5 Jbuds instead. Also, if you have smaller ears like I do, having weirdly angled earbuds and having to push the extra earbud plastic shape into the outer rim of your ears to keep them in securely, can eventually start to irritate your ears. Other than that, as I said, decent earbuds for the price.

I have had Jbuds for several years in various varieties (basic, J3, J5) and so far each one has eclipsed the previous in sound quality and durability, until these that is. The Jbuds 2 Premium do not feel like a premium product. I know they aren't terribly expensive, but if you're going to call them premium, they should at least FEEL well made. The cord is two thin flat split wires like those you'd get bundled with a device, instead of a round cable, and there's nothing to beef up the plug area which is weak. The sound is underwhelming. Comparing it to my J5s, the sound is hollow and faint requiring a much louder volume setting. The louder volume doesn't really make it sound better but drowns out more of the ambient noise. I think part of the issue is the formed ear bud doesn't fit my ear well or create a seal like the others. I usually use the next to the smallest ear bud cushion on my J3/J5 and get a great seal and full sound, but using that size on the Jbuds 2 feels like the buds will fall out at any moment and the sound is so muddled to be unintelligible. I tried the smaller ones thinking there was too much trying to fit in my ear with the formed bud design but that wasn't the right direction. I decided to try the largest cushions and the seal and sound improved a bit, however the buds are stuck well into my ears now and are actually difficult to remove. These would be great for activity if the cord wasn't so thin. Considering the weight of the cable there is a lot of feedback when the cord is bouncing about on things. I know there needs to be some burn in for these before they exhibit the best sound possible, however the drastic volume difference and faintness is too great to hold out much hope.Read more ›

I am returning these bcs. as soon as I removed them from the box and plugged them in, the weak,skinny 'cord' that goes from the bud to the plug in broke in two! Not sure which ones are better but it's too bad bcs.for the second I could hear them, the sound was excellent,the ear 'feel' was great and, yes, I love the color!:-)

decent design but not up to the quality of previous JLab earbuds I've used. I have J3 & J5 and these are truck stop quality, not up to par for what I've used from JLab in the past. I don't hold it against the brand, but these aren't worth the ten bucks. Not when you can get better ones for only a few dollars more. These are empty sounding, no bass response and lack volume. They hit the desk drawer and I doubt they'll be used. Unfortunately i bought 3 pairs. Maybe I'll put a set in my car and use with my phone when the bluetooth decides not to work?

Anyway, I can't recommend these JLab buds. J3, J5 and over the ear ones i've bought, absolutely recommended. These need to be put back to the R&D dept for revision. Make them like a J3 2.0 and I'll be a happy boy, those are my favorites.
