I bought the Polar A360 from the polar website and I've been wearing it for about a week. The only other fitness tracker I've owned was the fitbit one, so that will mainly be what I'm comparing this to.

I love this watch band so far. After trying a few Orange Theory classes (a bootcamp style class that makes you wear a heart rate monitor) I really wanted to start tracking my heart rate during all of my workouts. I love seeing where my HR is so I can push each workout a little bit harder. I looked a bunch of the options available right now and the Polar A360 was the most inciting. I didn't want to have to wear a chest strap, but I like that you can if you so choose. Polar is also known for their accuracy in HR monitoring which was a plus. I can't speak for the bands accuracy myself, but it seems to be in sync with my workouts. My wrist is 147 mm (5.8 in), so I was right on the boarder for small / medium and I ended up getting a size small.

The tracker does what most others do right now. It counts steps, how many miles you've gone, how many calories you've burned, and how much of your daily goal you've accomplished. There are different watch views that show you where you are each day with your goal. All of them are visually appealing. When you put the watch on and turn it toward you, the screen comes on an shows you the time with where you are on your daily goal. If you want to get more information you have to swipe the screen to get to "My Day" where it shows you all of the other information you may want (steps, miles, calories). It also shows you if you've done any workouts that day, and what your calorie burn was from that.

The flow app itself is a little tricky. This is something that I wish was a bit closer to the fitbit app. Sometimes it connects.

This device has everything I was looking for in a fitness tracker. As a fitness professional, I've always been partial to Polar as the industry standard for heart rate monitors, and the ability for the A360 to pair with the H7 HR sensor during workouts sealed the deal. Typically, optical sensors are not very accurate for determining heart rate during exercise, and even though Polar touts a two sensor design combined with movement algorithms, the optical sensors still underestimate heart rate during a workout when compared to using a chest strap that measures the heart's electrical impulses. The beauty of the A360 is that it can be worn daily as an activity tracker/watch, and can accurately serve as a heart rate monitor during exercise training when wearing the Polar H7 HR sensor. It can be recharged via USB which was another selling point for me as previous Polar HR monitors had to be sent in for service when the battery died. Now the not so good part. I only had the A360 for 10 days when the wrist strap tore (see picture). The clasp is hard to secure so to make sure the prongs went all the way through the openings, I had to really push on them. This action compressed the metal backing into the strap, and over time, albeit a short period of time (10 days), the silicon tore. After contacting Polar via email, a new strap arrived in 5 days. The new strap just like the old one is hard to secure, and even came loose twice during casual contact with my torso when walking. The other aggravation with this device is getting it to consistently recognize the H7 HR chest strap. I ended up having to restore the A360 to factory settings then link it to the H7 again. A process which can take up to 30 minutes. The A360 can be synced to the Polar Flow app which records all your activity and workouts giving you a nice summary of how you're doing with your goals. I haven't given up on this product, but combined with the H7, it is a costly investment that I wish had better quality.

I love my A360. I did so much research to find the perfect tracker for my lifestyle, and I'm so glad I did the research- I never take my A360 off (except to charge it!).

It looks sleek on my tiny wrist, tracks all of my activity and steps, and so much more! I love having the time and my phone notifications on my wrist-it is wonderful when running errands or at work- I check my A360 to see if it's an important notification or if it's just a Facebook update! The vibrating alarm always wakes me up, and the app is easy to use.
The heart rate monitor is super-accurate, and I love having different fitness profiles for my different activities. When connected to the computer, you can pick and choose which ones are on your A360. Ex: I have yoga and indoor swimming, but didn't add fencing or cross fit because I don't do those things lol.

I love how the tracker shows information, too. It tells you different ways to reach your activity goal. For example, right now I am at 14% of my daily goal (don't judge, I just woke up a little while ago). 49 min of jogging, 1 hour 52 min of walking, or 6 hours and 15 min standing up would get me to my goal for the day.

The do not disturb option is great, too. The A360 automatically lights up when it feels you check it by raising your wrist (love this when I have my purse and other things in my hand). However, it is bright and would drive me crazy at night if not for Do Not Disturb. When that's on, you don't get notifications and it only lights up when you press the button. Best part: the alarm will still go off when do not disturb is on! You can set it to automatically enter DND mode at a specific time each night, or do it manually from your wrist. Fantastic feature!

My favorite feature is that it is waterproof.
