I have tried a few other types of Probiotics for my dogs before, but I think they like the taste of this one the best! I have two lab mixes, a 13yr old and a 5 yr old. The 13yr old has had some intestinal issues that started when he became more of a 'senior' dog around 8 yrs old or so. In the past I've tried other powder probiotics that you mix into their food, however my dogs wouldn't touch their food unless we left it there for over a day (I assume they just got too hungry to be picky). This product had great reviews and seemed very promising. It arrived quickly, and with free Prime shipping as well, which is always a plus in my book. Upon opening the box I realized that the package was actually much smaller than I had anticipated. Luckily you only need a little bit of powder each day, so the bag should still last for a little while. Since my dogs eat out of the same bowl, we just give them the correct dosage for one dog, so we don't risk one of them getting too much of the probiotic. My first impression was that the bag and powder were very messy. I would definitely prefer the powder to be in a jar/can and not in a pouch. The powder tends to get everywhere and it's difficult to get the scoop out of the bag. After my second time using it I dumped the powder into a tupperware container instead, much easier to use. This is why I only rated the product at 4 stars, it's definitely a pain to use the bag/scoop. It is nice that the scoop is provided for you, instead of having to use your own scoop to measure out the correct dosage. I have noticed that my 13yr old dog has a bit of an easier time passing stools, and they seem to be a little more consistent as well. This was after about a week of use.
