    These work exactly as advertised. This is my second pair. The last one lasted for about 4 years. I use them to help keep my glasses in place during surgery. The ends of the retainer hold tightly onto the glasses and don't move around at all. Tightening and loosening with the adjustment button is easy. It's 100% cotton, so if it gets dirty you can just wash and dry it like a normal piece of laundry.

    I was worried that these retainers may not fit my Ray Ban New Wayfarers, but they fit perfect!Nice feel to the cotton, the black color is nice, and the tight grip on the glasses will insure that these glasses will never leave my head!

    The only reason I'm writing this review is to dispel the stray reviews below that suggest this strap only fits thin/wire frame glasses. They are mistaken. I bought this for my Nike Brazen sunglasses...go look at a picture of those shades (yes, they sell them on Amazon) and you'll see that they have thick frames. A little patience is required to thread the Chums onto them, but that is the way they are designed to work. They hold the frames firmly, and you can remove the Chums and put them back on easily at any time (again, once you understand that it takes a few seconds to slowly thread them onto the frames). Aside from that, they're cheap and function as expected.

    UPDATED 12-06-2015: I wore the pair from the big box retailer for 2 years or so before they started slipping off my glasses. I noticed the price went from approximately $2 to $3. Still a bargain. I switched to the pair bought through Amazon at twice the price. It is now 6 months that I have been using them, and they are already slipping off my glasses. I dropped their rating to 2 stars.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW: I just received these, but in an urgent need, I went to that big box retailer (the evil empire as some call it), and found a very similar pair for $1.96. In fact the $1.96 pair may work better since the gripping area for the glasses is probably 4 times longer. I would expect this extra length would help to avoid slipping off the eyewear. I am very happy after wearing the $1.96 pair for 10 or 12 times in the past week. I would expect these much more expensive ones would be just as good. If you go to the big box retailer I am talking about, check the fishing department in sporting goods.

    Have used these for years. The best thing about chums is if they get dirty,you can throw them in the wash and they come out looking like new(well almost).

    I have traveled the world with these and absolutely LOVE them and can't imagine being without them.
    I am one of those people who ALWAYS loses sunglasses UNLESS I have these on.
    They look cool too! I bought mine in black.

    I'll include some pics riding a horse through some choppy ocean waves - and these stay on...
    They have stayed on through countless adventures, scooter rides, bumpy roads, hikes, runs, dancing, etc...
    My sunglasses made it with me all over the world because of these chums! If I could give them 100 stars I would.

    A gracious member of our family, a sweetheart, really, kept misplacing her glasses while placing them here or there, and later walking around trying to locate them again. So now that she has implemented the use of these Chums Original Cotton Standard End Eyewear, she basically keeps them in the top of her beautiful head most of the time. We had already purchased the exact same item in Black, but knowing that with time and sweat due to a number of reasons, they kind of start looking a little on the "it's time to change for a newer one", we decided to purchase additional ones, 2 to be precise, this time on the Navy (we join the Navy to see the world, and what do we see, we see the sea!), and the product works as advertised. Must say that the blue ones are a little more joyful, less formal, if I may. 4 Stars.

    These are by far my favorite glasses retainers. I originally bought a pair because I wear glasses so much that sometimes the tops of my ears would get irritated. These cotton sleeves are nice because they are a little "cushion" on my ears. It is adjustable so when you are not wearing your glasses they can hang down at different points on your chest, or the bead can be tightened snug behind your head if you are out and don't want your glasses coming off like if you are out boating or something. I ended up buying another pair in black as well.
