I've bought a few different magnetic racks over the years while searching for a good method of keeping metal kitchenware organized & visible. The problem, however, is that usually the magnet is not sufficiently strong or the rack is oversized. But this 15'' magnetic storage strip is perfectly sized without sacrificing strength, which makes it a great addition to any wall storage system. At the moment, I've got 2 large knives and 2 scissors hanging, and they appear very secure. There's also still some room left on the strip, but I wouldn't recommend overloading it because you're liable to get cut while retrieving a sharp knife if you place the edges too close together. In sum: I'm really glad I bought this one. (In exchange for submitting an unbiased review, I received a small discount -- I think it was like $3 off, maybe? -- but the review is my own and reflects my impressions after a few days of use.)

Are the magnets strong enough to hold a meat cleaver ? Yes, they are... although if you want to hang up your chain saw, maybe you should get a lag bolt or something like that. This magnetic knife rack is long enough and strong enough for at least a half dozen kitchen knives hanging neatly waiting for your culinary savagery. The bar itself appears to look like wood, but is an easy to clean vinyl material and the magnetic bar is embedded into it. The magnets release your knives easier by pulling up or down (depending which direction the handle faces) rather that pulling the knife straight out towards yourself.
I like this knife storage much better than the big wooden block on the counter. I can clearly see which knife I'm after, use it, wipe it off and slap it back up there. And it looks nice on the wall, sort of makes me look like I know something about cooking.
This magnetic knife rack was offered to me at a discount in exchange for my evaluation and review. So, I'm happy with it.

The magnets work great on stainless steel items like steak knives and the scissors shown on the rack, but I purchased 3 hand held cheese graters and apparently these did not have enough stainless steel to make them stick to the magnetic bar. I was hoping the magnetic rack would stick to my refrigerator, it does if I turn the magnet side to the fridge; but then I do not have any magnets to hold the utensils in place. So this will not work for my project, but it was not intended for that and I just thought I would give it a try; so I will give it 5 starts anyway. I tested it on tongs and scissors and it was able to hold these items too. This product was provided at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review

This is a very nice knife storage magnetic rack and it can be used in more places than the kitchen. I will be using this in my garage to hang up frequently used tools by my garage door that leads to the house. This way when I need the screw driver I don't have to go to the tool box and dig out the screw driver. There are so many different items you can use this magnetic holder for, craft items, knives, etc. I did receive this at a discount for my honest review and probably wouldn't have thought about this item without that opportunity. Now that I have this I will look at my needs and order more at the regular price. That is how useful I think this will be.

I have high end knives and recommend this magnetic knife strip. I never put good quality knives in drawers and dont really have room for a block. I love this holder. The magnet is extremely strong and easily holds even the heaviest knives. I mounted it in under five minutes. I plan on purchasing a few more and using them in the garage for hand and gardening tools. As I said the magnets are very strong and will easily hold wrenches, hammers, saws you name it. I received this at a discount for an honest review.

I have a couple of these in my kitchen for my knives, tongs, and scissors. I got this one for my husband, he does wood work. I got it for him to attach to his work bench for his tools. He loves it. He can keep several tools in one spot and not lose them all the time. He has several things on it, screwdrivers, bits, chisel, and other items. It is a very heavy magnet on the item. It works great for what he needs it for. I got this item at a discount for giving a honest review.

I was VERY impressed by how easy this was to install as well as how strong the magnets hold was! The only issue I had with it was trying to figure out where to put it! Now i want a whole row of them! As you can see by the picture i was able to free up a ton of space with just one of these bad boys. I would highly recommend grabbing one or two of these.

I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of this knife rack. It has two magnets and holds quite a bit of weight. It holds 8 of my knives, 5 of which are big chopping knives, and a pair of scissors. It mounts to the wall easily with two screws.

I received this product at a discounted rate for my honest opinion. I will be buying another one at regular price for my cooking utensils!
