I am an avid BLU phone user because of their very affordable price and high performance features plus they are very user friendly. I’ve purchased at least six BLU cell phones for myself and relatives in the past eleven months. I’ve received a few Blu cell phones on the Amazon Vine program as well. I have to pay 36% of the value in incremental taxes, so it’s not free. This cell phone came with a full assortment of accessories including a screen protector, earphones, charger and a snap-on case. Not all cell phones come with these accessories, especially a screen protector.
I especially like the high resolution of the main camera on this BLU Life XL cell phone. It’s got 63% more resolution compared to the 8 MP BLU Energy that I’ve been using. I believe they should have only one model and eliminate the lower memory capacity model. I don’t know why anyone would knowingly choose the 8 GB + 1 GB RAM model. For an extra $10, you can get double the SSD and double the RAM.
I have been using the BLU energy 2 4G LTE phone until now. It has been my favorite mainly because of the 5000 mAh battery (but the battery isn’t user replaceable). So far it’s been working perfectly. Maybe batteries these days don’t fail after a few years. But up until now, I’ve experienced a battery failure on every cell phone I’ve owned for the ones I’ve owned three to five years. The batteries start tapering off until it won’t hold a charge a reasonable amount of time under use. I’ve only been using the BLU phones for a year now, so it’s much too soon to expect a battery failure. Maybe the BLU batteries are superior and won’t fail after a few years. Time will tell.
However, if you have a replaceable battery, you don’t have to worry about it. Just buy a new battery when the time comes.Read more ›
