I was so excited when I found this course being offered for children and just had to get it for my children to use. Learning about the financial principles in life are so very important and honestly the sooner they can begin to learn and understand them the better they will be in life and easier it will be for them to succeed. To be able to make informed decisions about personal finance and how to achieve savings and balancing fun and the future is a big issue for younger people. This is such a good way to start with my children's education by teaching them just how important financial principles are in life for us all. They are able to get plenty of proactive with this 20-week course that is online which is perfect and it's convenient. They are excited to start making their own budget and stick to it. i like how the class is set up to help my children learn, plan and understand how to make a budget and make hard financial decisions for the future. With the 30 hours of material that they are given I am excited to see how well they understand and implement it into their lives by the end. It comes on a USB stick containing instructions and a unique code to access your online TechTrep course that they can access online for 1 year.
I like the skills that they cover for them some of which are Master the principles of savings and loans, credit, investments and financial planning. Gain experience in the cost analyses of buying vs. leasing, renting vs. buying, education and cost of living.
All of the lessons are easy to understand and younger people friendly I actually enjoyed sitting in and listening to how well it was explained and easy to understand. It is easy to use and easy to follow and my children are very pleased with the course as am I. This is a very well written easy to use course for children that I am so glad I was able to get them.
I purchased this product for a reduced price to make an honest and unbiased review.

I homeschool 4 children and the one thing that I tend to struggle with is how to teach them money. It's easy to teach them that a quarter is worth .25 cents but how do you teach them that you have $1,000 a month and you have to pay all of these bills? It's easy to say but when it comes to the practical life application that is a bit more difficult. When I had the opportunity to try this program, I knew this was my answer. It was delivered fast and comes in a little plastic sleeve that includes the paper with the website address and your password. The password took a bit to figure out but once I did, I was ready to go. If I had waited and used the thumb drive first, the password is also saved on there. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. My oldest jumped right into it because it wasn't book work. The computer based programs is how he enjoys learning and this fit right into that. The videos were great for him to be able to sit back and listen about what it means to be financially responsible, without it being mom. He did really well with activities and assignments. He had to make a budget and pay all of his bills. This really led to some wonderful discussions about why mom and dad say no sometimes on a new toy or going out to eat. This program will give your children not only a better understanding of money and saving, but I think an appreciation for how hard it is to work and pay all of the bills to take care of the family. While this is geared toward older kids, my 5, 6, and 7 year old also participated. While they needed a bit more help, we were able to use portions of the program and gave them their own assignments using the materials provided.Read more ›

As a homeschool mother I am always looking for ways to interact and make teaching fun. This is a course for everyone about basic and intermediate budgeting and finance, we call it economics.

Having three children who all homeschool, this really helps me make that connection between what they may know and what they may not. Connect the dots and fill in the puzzle pieces. My kids a lot of the time need to have an understanding of why to be able to understand fully. Money is not a fun part of life, but it is a necessary part. I want to teach our kids how to handle it right before they get into debt so far they cant see, or fall to pressures of keeping up with everyone else. My hope is that us introducing the other sides of the picture will help them to understand why its not best to go get every thing that is pretty and shiny. Everything has a cost and credit has its own pitfalls. This course is really easily understood and easy to set up. The pack that you get will have information on it with a website and a username and password. You go there and register and get the course up and running. You will notice when enrolling you are going to have email and text options as well as a google drive feature that can be enabled. I love that since it means we can commute and do all the flexibility of homeschooling but not lose the functionality of the progress we have already completed.

Here are the benefits as listed in the claim of product description with my take on them as I have experienced the project:
• LEARN REAL-LIFE PRINCIPLES - Learn financial principles and make informed decisions about personal finance. There is no better way to start your children's education than to teach them important financial principles.
