With 3 children I have had my share of trying many different strollers over the years. My favorites have been Bob, Joovy, Mclaren and a few others. I almost tried a City Mini baby jogger a few years ago but went for the Bob instead. This is my first experience with a City Mini and all I can say is I wish I did try it sooner. If you need to run errands in and out of stores this jogger is for you. It's so easy. It's the best mobility stroller I have tried that is lightweight and compact and turns on a dime without feeling like your "pushing" anything.

The design is practical, nice solid black color. It folds easily and it makes going to stores, malls, parks so easy. It's the perfect stroller for suburbanites. This review is specific for the 2016 Mini 3W single stroller. I know they make a double and other ones, but I have the Mini 3W just again to clarify.

However if your looking for jogger to go on rough terrain, off road, etc. then this is not the right stroller for you. Their GT version has bigger wheels and is meant for that rugged off road travel. This version has 8" EVA tire tread wheels and it has a lockable swivel front wheel as well and front wheel suspension.

I still have my Bob which is rugged that way and we use it when going on light trails and such. But it was a pain (in a way) using it for mall trips, and walking around from store to store outside. This City Mini is perfect for all of that. I think I will put this model to good use over the spring/summer/fall being outside with my daughter. The seat is nice and comfy for her, she is 18 months at the moment and loved going in and out of places this past week with this stroller.

The canopy is pretty good size with the peek a boo window which I love.

At first, I wasn't sure what differences there were between this stroller and it's previous 2014 design, other than the $60 difference. They both look exactly the same. Both are equally light weight (under 18lbs) and easy to setup or fold away. That made it hard to justify paying more for the newer one when the 2014 version was cheaper and more available everywhere.

It wasn't until we took it out for a test drive with our baby that we noticed the differences. Firstly, the material and construction seemed more substantial in quality. I know both versions look the same but there was something there in the 2016 version And then the one-hand operation made a huge impact for us. The 2016 version felt more stable and easier to maneuver. It didn't strain my wrist at the park and when I was holding my baby in one hand and pushing the empty stroller with the other, it didn't wobble or seem to wander off in weird directions.

That said, as a guy, I would have preferred the Mini GT. The weight difference between the GT and the Mini 3W is just 5lbs, but that was a huge deal for my wife as she needed to use her right knee to heft it on to the back of our Subaru. Am sure she could have done it but I just didn't see us walking on dirt trails or cutting through the grass.

The Baby Jogger 2016 City Mini 3W Single Stroller is a great choice for suburbanites who want something light to use to go out to parks, malls and grocery stores. We got the Crimson Grey color and my wife loves using it.

We took this stroller with us for a weeklong DisneyWorld vacation, and it was INCREDIBLE. So easy to fold up (truthfully, one-handed), so light to carry, and folds very flat so we didn't feel like it was in the way on the bus. It was very easy to maneuver through crowds, even with one hand. The underneath basket is definitely smaller than the one on our Graco Jogger, but we were still able to fit a soft-sided 6-pack sized cooler and a small backpack in it, along with other various odds and ends (water bottles, security blanket, small toys, etc). It was easy to recline the seat when my son (2 yo) fell asleep. I wish it had a top cubby or cup holders, but I bought a Skip Hop Grab & Go Organizer to hang from the handle that fixed that problem. Overall, I was seriously impressed. We will still hold on to our Graco Jogger for those times we want to take it somewhere that isn't paved, but this will definitely be my go-to stroller from now on.

I have the Baby Jogger 2014 City Mini GT Single Stroller, Black -- the bigger sister of this model -- and I've used it a ton in the last year and a half. I know this kind of stroller well. Both have 3 wheels.

This "Single" is a nice stroller, so on it's own merits. This is a nice, quality stroller. However, it's a little flimsier (e.g., thinner material/padding on the seat), and only faintly lighter than the GT (virtually identical). The brake is located on the bottom (between the wheels), which is less convenient than a hand brake. The three-wheel design is nimble and comfortable. Wheels are removable, which is useful if you need to really pack things tight in your car.

The big question is the wheels. I don't like the smaller, smoother-style wheels of the Single. The GT has more "mountain-bike" type tires. If you mostly walk in shopping malls, airports, hotels, sidewalks, anywhere smooth, the wheels on this stroller would be totally fine. But for me, even in slightly urban settings, the GT is the much better choice. The GT is not for rugged dirt and rock trails, but it will go virtually anywhere else.
