The good points with this particular unit is that it is very adjustable, quite easily so, and has the telescoping portion. I like the telescoping portion because I prefer to suction mount on the passenger side and have it tilted towards me. Less obstruction of vision that way. The telescoping function really makes this possible. Without it and it would be too far to see or touch the phone.

Also, honorary mentions for the grip holding the phone - it is easy to slide tight/loose.

As shown in the video is a 4" smartphone. I also have a Note 3 which was unavailable at the time of recording, but it also fits just fine.

Only one bad point is the sticky pad type of suction mount. I would have prefer an option NOT to have the sticky type. Sure, it makes it more secure for long-term installation but as I frequent high-theft areas, I must remove not just my phone but my mount each time I park the car. This is a chore with the sticky suction mount. So one negative point off on this. I know some people might find this to be a positive if they plan to keep the unit secured indefinitely. Not me though. Maybe iOttie can provide a regular suction cup as an additional option in the future to allow the user a choice?

**Disclaimer: product was received at reduced cost for personal use. I have written this honest review and taken the time to make a video to reflect the quality of the unit**

Great phone mount! Stable, easy to adjust, lost of adjustment options, and the larger button for the arms is a big improvement. It also seems that it will stay stuck to my Prius dashboard but we'll see how it holds up once it starts to get hotter in a few months.

I hope they solved the spring breaking issue with this version...we'll see...=)

EDIT:Updated 03/06/16

I have take two stars off because the little legs on the bottom will not say at the height where I set them. It seems the screw is too long to keep the legs secure and I had to add a washer to fix the issue.

EDIT: 03/13/16

I contacted iOttie about the leg issue and they sent me a replacement. This one had the correct size screw and so I've bumped them back up to 5 stars.

I will preface this review by pointing out that the original purchase URL has been converted to this URL, I suspect as a way to distance the product from poor reviews that were cropping up at an alarming rate.
I purchased the One Touch 3 at the end of January 2016 and by the first week of March the device has been rendered useless. As many other customers have pointed out, there is a spring that pull both of the top mount clamps together (the clamps that hold the phone). There are two little plastic hooks molded into the backs of each clamp that hold either end of the spring. After a few uses, one of those hooks sheared away and now the clamps cannot hold any phone, thus rendering the entire car mount device useless. Being beyond 30 days from purchase, the product was no longer eligible for a return or refund from Amazon, so the only option is manufacturer warranty.
UPDATE 3/16/16:
I reached out to iOttie to enact the product warranty. They have added me to a "list" to get a replacement top mount part. This was about a week ago. I will update my review as the situation evolves.
UPDATE 3/21/16:
Shortly after my review went up I received a tracking number for my replacement.
UPDATE 3/31/16:
I received the replacement top mount component and so far so good. Initially I was worried about the hooks in the back looking very similar to the previous version, but when I reached out to iOttie about it, they assured me that the inside of the hook is different and they changed the way the spring is attached. I was strongly reassured that this new version had addressed the problem they had initially.
Since I really didn't give a lot of details initially, I'd like to expand my review properly.

Got this to replace my One Touch 2 since that hits the volume down button on my Nexus 5x. Unfortunately, despite this being listed as compatible with the 5x, it still hits the volume down button.

Update: After cutting away some of the rubber padding on the grip, it can now hold the 5x without touching the volume button. (To be fair, it only just barley touched the button, but it was enough that if I gripped the One Touch to turn the phone landscape to portrait that it would turn the volume down.

In general this is a 5-star product for its versatility (i.e. not made for just one phone, accommodates a case) and 1 handed operation. But only 4 stars for not being really compatible with the 5x.

Compared to the one touch 2, I prefer the bottom piece on the 2 as it was easier to adjust (it just slid back and forth, compared to the 2 prong on this version that you have to loosen the knob to move). I understand the design change to allow for adjusting the height, but the way in which the piece adjusts makes it a pain to center the thing
