3.0 out of 5 stars Book review
This book was required reading for a course that I attended. It's a bit outdated, but overall has good information in it.

My daughter is 5 and only reads a little. But I thought there was enough pictures, so I decided to go ahead with the book. We've dealt with wearing pull-ups, then with waking her when I went to bed, so I was VERY interested to see if this would work.

It sure did! It only took 2 weeks for my daughter to be totally dry. I might suggest, too, that you remove milk as a drink at dinner and bedtime; after we started using the Dry All Night book, a friend told me that studies show that children who drink milk for dinner wet the bed more often. Once we removed milk as a dinner beverage, all accidents stopped and my daughter became dry. She was so thrilled! After a month with no accidents, she gleefully informed me that she didn't need to "read" her Dry All Night book anymore! I only read the book through once. After that it became my daughters job and she did it all by herself. She didn't do a chart and I only occasionally reminded her to look at her book and drink her water in the afternoon. Truly magic! If you are struggling with nighttime dryness for your child, order this book now!

5.0 out of 5 stars This really, really works!!, November 25, 2004

My son who is almost 7 has always wet the bed. It was a non-issue in our house as we knew he couldn't help it. He wore Pull-ups nightly. But about a month ago, he came to me expressing his desire to stop. I researched the various methods which can help children become dry. I was intriqued by the reviews for this book that I read on here, so we decided to buy it. We also bought a Wet-Stop bedwetting alarm. My son loves this book and we happily reviewed it every day. Within days of using the alarm and this book, he started having a few dry nights. This is a child that had only one or two dry nights a YEAR before we started this. It is now almost a month since we started this program and he has had 14 totally dry nights in a row!! We are ready to stop the use of the alarm tonight and he is so, so excited and proud! We will look at his book together until he decides to stop (he likes it so much, I'm not sure when that will be!) Of course, since we used the two methods, it's not totally possible to say how this book would have worked for us by itself, but I have an inkling that the book helped the most. It is also very good for a child's self-esteem. We are so very happy with this wonderful book and want to thank the author, too! Because of a family history of bedwetting, we assumed that my son would probably go on bedwetting for years. What a wonderful surprise for us and especially for him. This book has helped turn this whole thing into a positive experience for my little boy. He feels confident and now feels that he has control over this part of his life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well for all ages, October 3, 2003
I wet the bed until I was 13. Very embarrasing. I was put on all types of medication to stop it. Nothing worked. My mom bought me this book when I turned 13 on a "try anything once" whim. Within a week I had stopped wetting the bed. I would recommend it to ANYONE! :)

Unfortunatly, i had a severe problem with my bladder control. I am only 29, and up until 1 month ago, i still had a problem almost every night. With this book, i conquered my problem, and now i have a dry night EVERY night. Thank you Dry All Night.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yup it works!, March 23, 2006
I tried this on my four-year-old daughter, although only half-heartedly because I did not want to pressure her. First, she stopped wetting during her naps. Then she would stay dry at night on and off. Then she said she wanted to stop doing the chart. ANd then she stayed dry night after night. That was six months ago and she doesn't even have accidents.

What I love about this book's approach is that it empowers the child to have control over their bladder. I find other approaches, such as alarms, to be a bit punitive and makes the child feel like it's their fault for wetting at night. The author obviously understands and loves children. Her compassion shines through every page.

Thank you very much, Alison Mack!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not enough information, August 5, 2000
By A Customer
I was looking for a book to help my daughter cope with my grandson who is 3 years old and trained during the day but still wets at night. I bought this book without realizing it was for a child old enough to read. I did not read that fact anywhere in the description. I was disappointed! I did read the book and I think it would be helpful for the appropriate age child.

5.0 out of 5 stars It worked!, August 19, 2004

When we bought this book we thought that it was too long for any child to be able to read in one sitting and rather drawn out and boring. However, we gave it to our seven-year old who had been wetting in her sleep her whole life. I read it to her in its entirety one night and she read it little by little or looked at the pictures every night afterward. She only made a chart once, but did follow through on all the other instructions and was so happy when she stopped wetting. She was dry from the first night we read it together and can stay dry most of the time now. We're still working on it a month later, but this book definately helped a lot. Try it. It really works!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked great for my 8 year old!, May 27, 2003
By A Customer
After lots of other tries, this book made the difference for
my 8 year old. He read it and kept reading it every night
for about a month and now has even had sleepovers with dry nights.

Thank you, authors, for helping him gain more confidence
and solve this frustration for him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dry All Night, August 1, 2001

I purchased this book with much trepidation, but have found it to be invaluable. My 6 year old son is able to utilize the creative visualization techniques and IT WORKS!!! It empowers children and this is critical in helping them feel successful. This book is wonderful-both for parents and children.

5.0 out of 5 stars This will work, April 16, 2004

I purchased this book for my 2 sons (both 9 years old, part of triplets). It was almost every night they were wet and that was with waking them up everynight and multiple sheet changes during the night. I had a problem like this when I was a child and did not break the cycle till high school! I had surgery to try and help but it did not help. If you follow the book and use the alarm, with meds and dietary changes this can work. One of my sons used the meds and one did not and they both are now dry EVERY night. I wish more was available when I was a child but having suffered through alot of this I am very happy they will not have to go through more years with night problems.
