Caring for Your e-cloth
Cloths can be machine washed with your regular wash using everyday detergent. Recommended to wash the cloths in Warm or Hot temperatures. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Cloths may be hung to dry or tumbled dry in the dryer – do not use fabric softener.
Science Behind e-cloth
It is e-cloth’s fiber composition, fiber size, fiber processing and density of cloth that allows e-cloth to achieve extraordinary cleaning and drying, outperforming all other cleaning cloths. Most e-cloths are made from polyester (naturally attracts dirt and dust) and nylon (naturally attracts oil and water). That composition combined with a fiber density of over 1.6 million fibers per square inch enable the cloth to clean everything off of a hard service when activated with water.
Clinical testing done by the internationally accredited Silliker Group has proven to remove 99% of bacteria including E. coli and Listeria using just water. The tiny fibers lock them away where the bacteria stay until the cloths are rinsed. After a rinse with warm water, just 0.01% of bacteria is reintroduced onto surfaces.
e-cloths are manufactured with very high quality raw materials. This makes these cloths so durable they are guaranteed for 300 machine washes. If washed weekly, that’s almost 6 years of cleaning.
Safer for Your Family
Household cleaners were the third largest category of substances associated with calls to poison control centers. Over half of the calls were regarding an incident involving children six years old and younger. Eliminating chemicals is good for you and your family.
A Better Clean
Using an e-cloth and just water can give your home the best clean it’s ever had with less effort and expense than your current cleaning method. Your windows and mirrors get a crystal clear clean and the glass is left lint-free and streak free. Your stainless steel surfaces will be smudge-free and fingerprint-free. Kitchen surfaces from countertops to sinks, stoves, and microwaves all clean up quickly and completely using just an e-cloth and water. The hidden benefit is no residues on counters and floors, no pollutants going down the drain, and no consumer waste clogging our landfills.
Better for the Environment
An e-cloth and just water greatly reduces the amount of consumer waste that is being produced while you clean. In six years, how many paper towels, wipes, spray cans and bottles will you go through? Those materials go down our drains and remain on surfaces in our homes. The paper towels, cans and bottles end up in our landfills forever. An e-cloth and just water avoids all of this mess.

The truth is, both products are wonderful and will change the way you clean but e-cloths perform as well as Norwex at a fraction of the cost.
BUT I'M REALLY WRITING THIS REVIEW BECAUSE...
I see a lot of comments on Amazon about e-cloth vs Norwex and how many users prefer the Norwex cloths because "the silver in the Norwex kills bacteria and sterilizes surfaces". It is important to know - and PLEASE BE AWARE that - the silver in your Norwex cloth does NOT kill bacteria on surfaces (i.e. counters, sinks, tables, toilets etc.). E-cloths and Norwex cloths work the same way: the microfiber in the cloths picks up bacteria (over 99.9% in the case of e-cloths), dirt and grime and it is held/trapped in the cloth until you rinse it out or launder it. E-cloth has very good lab test results showing that when you rinse the cloth well after you use it, over 99% of bacteria picked up by the cloth is rinsed out.
The silver in your Norwex cloths only acts to speed up the killing of bacteria IN THE CLOTH - NOT ON THE SURFACE. The only reason you would need this is if you're not rinsing your cloth after you use it, because like I mentioned above, if you rinse the cloth after you use it, the bacteria is rinsed out.
I'm a realist and know that we all have quirky preferences and there are some people that will prefer Norwex over e-cloth (it's like a Coke/Pepsi thing - only with one being much cheaper than the other in this case). There is no disputing that they both clean well.Read more ›
The general purpose cloths clean counters and cabinets like nobody's business, just with a spritz of water. They make grease--even a lot of grease--disappear from the range top, again with just water. They take smudges off stainless and soap scum off acrylic. Followed with the finishing cloth, they shine chrome and clean mirrors streak-free. They even clean doggy nose-prints off windows. As long as you're gentle, you can dust with them. Everything I've tried them on, they've cleaned. Some things they have cleaned better than anything else I've ever used.
To my mind, this pack gives you the best bang for your buck of all the combos. The other products vary a bit--they all work, but they don't all necessarily work better than the general cloths. A lot depends on your stuff, and how often you clean. I'd recommend buying this to start with, and then deciding.
*The company says not to use them on floors; they sell a mop for that. I suspect the general cloths would work beautifully on tile, though they might scratch a really delicate wood finish.
If the Norwex ones work better then they should be put into a hall of fame or something since these are fantastic for a fraction of the price! I got 24 clothes for the price of 3 at Norwex (purchased from another site not amazon. I cleaned my mirrors in front of my husband and even he was impressed. I was able to take one cloth and clean everything from my sink to counters to cabinets to even my microfiber couch. Only now I wish I would have taken pictures. Maybe after my kids make another mess I will do that.
I am a stay at home mom with a 2 year old and 9 month old so saving time is super important to me as well as cleaning with no chemicals. AND my kids are MESSY! I have had milk spots in my house for months from sippy cups and nothing has cleaned them off of my walls except for painting over it again. Well this cloth cleaned the spots in no time. AND these say you can use cleaners if you like but I use only water. I was able polished my coffee maker and toaster, both stainless steel.
eclothusa.com has a great explanation of e-cloth and tells of how Silver is not necessary. Again Norwex does amazing job from what I saw at a party but for those of us on a budget they do not compare to e-cloth! These work just as well as far as I am concerned.
