The sport utility vehicle of laptop bags,

This bag is awesomely cool on many levels. I carry two 15.4" laptops (Dell Latitude D830) in it - one in the cleverly-designed side pocket, and one in the main cargo hold. I had to initially stretch out the side pocket to accommodate one of the laptops, but that problem resolved itself in short order. The eBags Router is much more solidly constructed than my previous bag. The top handle can support the weight of my cargo without feeling like it's going to come off in my hand. Also, the storage pockets and straps zip up and disappear when not in use, giving the bag a sleek and well-organized look. Finally, the wheels are quiet, allowing me to sneak up on my unsuspecting cow-orkers; my previous bag announced my presence from a distance of several cubicle rows. 8^)

Wheeled laptop backpack,

I purchased this to use work work as both a laptop carrier and a briefcase. I travel extensively (by air) so needed something that was easy to handle. The bag is sturdy and has several pockets, each one larger than the other. The laptop is stored in a padded pocket that is accessed from the side of the bag - very convenient. The handle telescopes to a good height and the bag wheels in a straight direction. It's taller than most laptop bags so even filling it up does not give that FAT look that many wheeled computer bags have. It also fit well into the overhead compartment on the plane. The zippers are sturdy. I have been using this for about a year now and it's still in great shape. I would highly recommend this bag.

I bought this bag to take to conferences. With the design of the pockets, it was very convenient to access my laptop, computer cables, etc., both on the airplane and at the conference location. Everything works very well, as it rolls smoothly and the zippers seem very sturdily constructed. The only "drawbacks" that I have found are: (1) the handle retracts at the slightest touch of the retract button. Not a huge concern (I might just be used to my other wheeled bag). (2) If worn as a backpack and I have to place it on the ground, I have to hold the bag and zip up the back flap before placing it down (so the inside of the flap doesn't get dirty). Again, not a huge concern, but this is better than most wheeled backpacks because the shoulder straps are fixed in place (that is, they are not the kind that unfasten when going from backpack to wheeled case). (3) The top handle is more or less just fabric. It would be nicer to have one that is solid (like hard rubber). Still, I don't see these drawbacks as serious in the least. Though a "large" backpack, it fits in both international and domestic overhead bins, so I don't see why this backpack wouldn't be perfect choice for anyone.

Pros:The quality/construction of this bag is top notch. Cons: the laptop "area" in this bag is well padded. Maybe too padded as it takes up a significant chunk for the space in it. If you done't have a laptop, the padding cannot be removed. It can be unzipped and it looks like it should be removable, but it isn't. The handle does not lock in an intermediate position and it is relatively tall when fully extended. The default pic for this item shows it extended a few inches, but it cannot be used in this position.

This bag is quite spacious, I have a Panasonic TuffBook in it along with a Cannon mobile printer, and a mobile scanner. Two 500GB hard drives, charger cords for the cel phones, and extra ammo for the pistol. This bag is well built.

PROS:Sleek lines Many colors from which to choose Lots of pockets CONS: Too heavy (about 8.25 lbs!) Pop up handle not that sturdy -- often buckles on downhills or when pushing it in front of you Wheels a little low (scrape on hills) Laptop compartment will not hold a large, gaming notebook Backpack straps difficult to access quickly

I have used this bag on two trips for business since buying it. I really like the size, shape and ease of pulling it. My only concern has been that the pull handle seems to collapse without minimal contact with the release button on the handle. I bought the bag because I wanted something that I could pull down the airplane aisle or carry like a backpack in wet/snowy weather. It has fit easily on an RJ 170, MD 88 and other smaller jets. I have had several computer bags and this is better than a Kingston or more expensive ones. I really like the side panel section for the laptop, the wheels are smooth rollers, and the internal volume is more than adequate for an under the seat item. Enough side pockets and internal sections for keeping all the accessories, documents, and other stuff that ends up in it well organized.

The bag is very good for back and forth to the office and seems sturdy enough for traveling. Only problem is that it is not so easy to use on planes as it will not fit under the seat so easy and only in the bigger overheads. The handle could also be wider as that would make it easier to fit a small bag to to it when travelingStill worth the money |
