Forth, the charger has no connection anywhere to charge the battery.

The instructions did not say exactly what type of batteries to buy, so I have to wait until the clerk can get t them ordered.

I just could not even fit it on my fork both from the thick diameter of the axle.

First let me say I did receive very quickly, there are some things that i did have lots of problems with. I read all the instructions and could not find what way to put wheel on for the correct rotation. It seems like the sellers put the manual together themselves. There is no thumb throttle as in the description, its a twist one. Third there was no connection for you to hook up the batteries. Forth, the charger has no connection anywhere to charge the battery. Fifth, battery rack very flimsy. Last, no zip ties. So do yourself a favor and buy from a real dealer. I put mine together in 4 hrs.

Ordered this 36 volt kit to convert my wife's Schwinn trike to electric assist. Assembly was relatively easy for anyone with even the most basic experience in wiring or electronics, even though instructions are ridiculously incomplete and relatively illegible {higher quality available online as a downloadable pdf.} Upon completion, it didn't operate. So get out the voltmeter. Pos-Neg feeds to battery (Chinese counterfeit Anderson Powerpoles) were not supplying current, so I replaced them with the real deal and got current. Still no go. Began looking over everything and found they had sent front hub that read 9C48V500W...then serial number. A 48 volt hub with a 36 volt controller? Or, since warranty states "We bench test each and every kit under heavy load for 20 minutes..... blah, blah, blah...." Well, then maybe this controller is capable of handling 48 volts. I connected another 12 volt battery in the series...nothing. So, I guess "baloney" on the bench test idea. Another controller.... nope. After putting a couple of weeks into the project, it turns out hub is garbage. Unable to contact seller. Thanks to Amazon for arranging return on this collection of junk. Unfortunately, time and frustration I'll never get back. Hope I save someone else this nightmare.

The components seem to be fine but the KIT is nonfunctional until I go out and get fuse, a switch, and figure out how to find a female adapter for the battery charger I 'm disappointed that I'll have to jump through a bunch of hoops to make the product work, I'm still trying to find a web sight to see if I can talk to the supplier directly to find a real wiring diagram.
After working this motor kit into my electric bike and using it for several months I've decided that it a solid product with no problems, I would like to buy more and will if I see again on amazon and the pricing was very reasonable

I have mixed feelings about this product. Now that it is installed and working I am happy with it, but the instructions are minimal, key connectors are not included, and you need to buy and figure out how to connect and mount critical items like a fuse and a power switch.

The most awkward thing for me was that the controller's main power input connectors were not a type I had seen before, and a matching connector to mate with them (to put on the wires from the battery) was not available at the local hardware store (which has quite a good selection of connectors). I had to go to the largest electronics parts store in the area to find a match. It would have been easy enough to order, but I did not want to wait another couple days with the bike half finished.

There is also nothing at all in the instructions that shows how to connect the charger connector, and there are a bunch of wires coming out of the controller that are not mentioned. I left them unconnected, and the motor works fine, but it would have been nice to know what they could have been used for.

The already minimal instructions are also internally inconsistent - they suggest mounting the controller in a zippered nylon pouch (supplied) and then stress the importance of air flow around the controller. I mounted it in the open air.

The wheel/motor worked fine, but ran backward when mounted with the wires on the left (per the instructions.) easy enough to remount, but another frustration.

Lastly, the wheel is quite badly out of round and out of true, and arrived with all the spokes quite loose. I'll be learning how to true a wheel next, or spending extra at the bike shop to get it done.

I own several e bike kits, so far this one has plenty of torque and speed. Assembly was about 40 minutes.I currently have this kit on my Mongoose mountain bike which is also equipped with a propane friction drive motor on the rear tire..Who says you can't enjoy bike riding..

This kit is ok for the price, but you must know what you are doing to install it.
Tire inner tube had a flat and I had to patch it.
Instructions don't show which way to mount the wheel for the correct rotation, meaning you must guess and you will probably install it on the wrong side and find out later that the wheel will turn backwards instead of forward. For your info, my kit, the hub wire must be mounted to the right side of the handle bar for the forward rotation.
Battery charger comes with an adaptor that has 2 output wires (red & black) with pins soldered at the end (no snap on connectors). You will have to scramble to the store and try find the right snap on connection (they don't tell you what type). Same with the regulator power wires (black& red) have female snap on, but no males snap on. You will have to make another trip to the store.
I purchased 3 12V lead acid batteries and connected them in series to get 36V.
Bike works good. Can do 23MPH on flat ground. Will slow down to about 15mph or lower when going uphill. You should pedal assist when going uphill or when the battery starts to get low.
The Instructions are ridiculous. Appear to have been put together by a 2nd grader.
Unless you are a little bit mechanically inclined, I suggest you ask a friend to help you.
