5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sponge
I have had this sponge almost a year and a half and it has just now had a piece fall off. I think that's pretty good longevity for a sponge.

The size (5-6 inches) seems about right.

When I bought this I also bought two other sponges along with it -- a "wool" sponge and a "silk" sponge (both natural sea sponges). At first the wool sponge was my...

3.0 out of 5 stars research first, buy later.
I've wanted a sea sponge for the longest time so I finally ordered this one. It came in about a month ago, and I've really enjoyed using it. It has a great, soft texture. Unfortunately I hadn't put much thought into its upkeep, and I noticed some mold spots on it recently. After the fact, I did some research about taking care of your sponge by soaking it periodically in...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sponge, July 13, 2010

I have had this sponge almost a year and a half and it has just now had a piece fall off. I think that's pretty good longevity for a sponge.

The size (5-6 inches) seems about right.

When I bought this I also bought two other sponges along with it -- a "wool" sponge and a "silk" sponge (both natural sea sponges). At first the wool sponge was my favorite, but after a couple of weeks of use that became very soft -- too soft. This "grass" sponge seemed a bit scratchy at first but upon break-in became pretty near perfect for me and has stayed that way for over a year. The silk sponge was irregular in shape and overpriced from the start.

This is a wonderful addition to taking a bath! The size is very nice, quite large and makes for an awesome spa like exprerience in your own home! The sponge is clean and has no smell. Rinses out easily! Highly recommend!

I've wanted a sea sponge for the longest time so I finally ordered this one. It came in about a month ago, and I've really enjoyed using it. It has a great, soft texture. Unfortunately I hadn't put much thought into its upkeep, and I noticed some mold spots on it recently. After the fact, I did some research about taking care of your sponge by soaking it periodically in hydrogen peroxide and water, or tea tree oil and water to ward off bacteria...oh well, now I'll know for next time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice soft sponge, January 11, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I like this sponge a lot. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that I was hoping it was going to be a bit more exfoliating, when in reality it's pretty soft when wet. With that said, it's still a really nice bath sponge and I use it every time I shower. It dries well, so it doesn't stay damp in your shower or smell bad or anything like that. As ridiculous as this sounds, I actually did a lot of reading and research on sea sponges before deciding to purchase this one, and aside from it not being quite as rough as I was initially hoping for, I am still very pleased with this product. About to purchase it again because my boyfriend wants one for himself after using mine :)

5.0 out of 5 stars very soft and very large, December 31, 2011

We've used this for over a week now and it's been great. Very soft and fits in your hand nicely. So far so good. I might update this review later on when it starts to break apart which I guess is inevitable.

2.0 out of 5 stars Update, sponge is falling apart, splitting everywhere!, October 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Update: Now that I have had this sponge for several months it is totally splitting everywhere and falling apart. I don't know if it is my specific sponge or if this being a "grass" sponge meaning it is turning back to individual pieces of grass but I don't know if I can recommend this anymore. Rather frustrating when you pay so much for a sponge that has such a short life.

This Grass sea sponge is really really soft on the skin, very pleased. The only reason I have not given this 5 stars as it seems to want to split as a section. I assume it will shortly tear off giving me a smaller sponge than purchased. Until then, this is a really nice bath sponge.

4.0 out of 5 stars Feels good but doesn't exfoliate much, August 23, 2011

If you want anything close to a loofah, don't buy this sponge. If you're looking for something soft, buy this sponge.

I prefer a little rougher texture than this, but it's still a nice bath item--doesn't smell, is all natural, and feels good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lathers really well, August 21, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Love the sponge - seems to be good quality, seems like it will hold up. The lather I get with body wash is amazing. It's a bit abrasive, but not enough to exfoliate your entire body (maybe your face). Get something rougher for exfoliation and use this after for major lathering.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fine product at a fair price, February 15, 2011

I have been using a natural wool sponge purchased at a spa, and was hesitant to use a "grass" sponge because I was under the impression it was too abrasive.

I'm very pleased that when my wool sponge finally began to shred, I took a chance on this terrific item from Ebubbles. The sponge is nearly twice the size of the one I replaced, at about half the cost. It is sturdy, good looking, and, most importantly, very comfortable. It is just tough enough to do a nice job of exfoliation while being soft enough to remain luxurious. If you have never bathed with a natural sponge, do yourself the favor.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well and is long lasting, January 30, 2011

I recently bought a replacement for the same sponge I had purchased a few months ago. This sponge has just a touch of abrasiveness to it to exfoliate, but actually feels soft. It is also durable, as I use this every day and the first one I bought has lasted me for oh, six to nine months. This sponge also doesn't collect mildew, like the synthetic sponges do.
