When I first put my Nook Tablet in this, it was a big hassle to get the little elastic straps around the corners. That's because I have thick fingers and I was afraid of overstretching the bands. However, I have since learned how do the straps properly. So that is no longer a problem.
There is no hole for the speaker. I always use earphones anyway, so no big deal. I can still hear the speaker good enough for sound effects, like in a game, but its no good for music.
There is a hole for the charger so you don't have to remove it from the cover to do that daily chore.
When I first got the cover, I thought it was a little bit too small for the Nook Tablet, but now I like it just like it is. It is just the same width and height as the Nook. It is not designed to protect the Nook's edges, just the screen. Careful handling protects the edges. A cover that fully protects the screen and edges would be much larger and bulkier. This cover is just really nice the way it is.
It is not leather, but it is nice. Unreasonable to expect leather at this price, anyway. If you want real leather, go pay $45 somewhere else.
I like the magnetic flap strap. It holds good enough for what it is supposed to do, but unsnaps far easier than a mechanical snap.
The cover has some padding that gives it a very nice feel.
My wife has a cover that folds around vertically and props the Nook up for reading. That's very nice once you have it set up, but it is a bit cumbersome to manipulate into position. I like my cover because it is just like opening a book. Flip and you're done.

I mean, it's a cheap case. I don't know what else you expected from it. I wouldn't buy it again, though. Read morePublished 11 months ago by Donald Thompson
