I got this from Eforcity ship super fast. For the price this product is great, I thik price is just introductory so I picked up 2, shipping is per piece so beware.

I did not have the cracking sound problem as described but when I asked eforcity about it, they say said if it happens they will replace.

Not a bad item.

Probably not as much to do with this product as with the Blackjack, but the popping sound between songs, when the audio is turned on/off, is very annoying. I suspect there can be a solution by adding some sort of noise filtering on the adapter.

It can be mitigated by using faders (so the audio does not go on/off), but it is still persistent, and the fader solution requires a 3rd party product (like PocketPlayer).

I used two different adapters (I purchased two, one for my phone and one for another Samsung) -- it does not seem to be a problem on the other Samsung model (A707).

I'll be using a bluetooth wireless earphones from here on out.

The description for this item doesn't specify whether it's for a Blackjack I or II. It's for a Blackjack I....which would REALLY have been good to know before I ordered it....and wouldn't take the seller that long to type in there....AHEM.

Yes, I know, we're always being hosed by phone makers with their proprietary parts. Thankfully, this el cheapo adapter allowed me to use my headphones with my blackjack. Works quite well and the sound was top shelf.

This seemed like a bargain, extended delivery delay notwithstanding. However, the sound is awful. I ordered two, and both produce tinny sound and loud, unbearable clicking noises. And one literally cracked and fell apart after one use. The price was great, but ultimately a rip-off for the delivered product.

I got one from Cingular (at a higher price), and the sound is perfect. It saved me from having to buy a new mp3 player. With a 2G microSD card and the headset adapter to accommodate my regular headphones, presto!, no need for an iPod.

Just buy it from somewhere else!

I have a Samsung Blackjack (first generation) which is a great phone. I wanted to be able to listen to music using the phone's SD card and Media Player but I didn't want to spend an extra $100+ on a separate MP3 player.

I purchased this item for $.01 + $4.98 shipping = $4.99 total. For that price I was able to listen to hours of music on my phone while snowboarding. It's also handy to be able to watch movies on the phone without bothering others with the phones speakers.

Now, the criticism. I read several reviews that claim there is a clicking noise that your headphones make at the start of each song when using this product. That is true. I have purchased 2 of these and it does make that sound each and every time. Not a big deal though. It isn't that loud and it only lasts a fraction of a second.

It's also not the toughest thing in the world. Mine broke easily after using it 4 times. Granted I was snowboarding and must have landed on it the wrong way. I fixed this with the next one I purchased by wrapping the male end of the adapter in black electrical tape which beefed it up a little and kept the casing from coming off.

I have since purchased an actual MP3 player but still love this little adapter. For $4.99, how can you complain.

If you can look past the occasional well actually frequent pops and crackle noises and the fact that the item is very fragile it is a great product. I had to pull out some tape to provide it with some extra reinforcement after having the item for 2 days...but in all fairness it does accomplish the goal of being an adapter adequately.

Shipped in a hurry, works with any standard male to male connector to connect the Samsung mobile phone. Unfortunately, buying the male to male cost me about 10 times as much as this little dongle did.

I love this product so much that i use it for my phone almost everyday!
It was a great buy for a small price. So far so good and it is still working.
I recomond it for anyone who needs this for thier phone. But make sure your phone is compatable with this wire.
This was much cheaper than a full headset.
All you need is a earset and your good to go.

The product is of the same quality which you pay for. I had ordered two items together and when i received the shipment, this product was missing.
After calling amazon and bargain cell for few time, i got the item shipped
and whe i started using it, the connector shell opened up very next day itself.
I would suggest dont go for it, not even worth the shipping :(
