1.0 out of 5 stars just cannot take it
i probably need this cd a lot--but i just cannot listen. there is a sound in the background that sounds to me like a fire alarm. i just cannot take it. if you are sensitive to noises, save your $$ and buy "your present: a half hour of peace" instead, because you cannot return cds once they've been opened. agghhh! this cd had the opposite effect on me--it induced...

EHypnotapes appeals to both the intellect and the subconscious. Dr. Walton's approach first provides the listener with a logical framework based on years of professional experience and study. He gives practical suggestions for lessening tension in our daily lives. And then guides the listener through a classical relaxation exercise and hypnosis session aimed at creating a subconscious trigger, which when used on a regular basis, functions to lessen tension automatically during the hubbub of the workplace. Ms. Sach's guided meditations enhance the experience by bolstering one's creativity and self-confidence.

I found their voices to be calming and reassuring; the pace easy and comforting. The result is a satisfying experience created by an appeal to all levels of consciousness. It is like a hot tub for the mind. It is the kind of recording that can and should be used over and over. The more I use it, the better it works for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm a believer - it's REALLY relaxing..., September 2, 2001

Jim Walton has one of the most seductive voices I've ever heard! He sounds young, but very mature and authoritative and caring - so I just melted and let my mind do exactly what he said, which was basically learn how to hypnotize myself to relax. I thought it was hopeless for me, but this really does work. And I have to say, this CD is like having a deep therapy session right at home for whenever you are stressed out! Talk about a great investment... Don't miss out on this.

This CD really surprised me. I find it engaging and effective. It really helps me after a stressful day or to fall asleep on nights I have trouble. The audio quality of this CD is very good. I especially like the tones he uses during the hypnosis.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, March 17, 2004
This review is from: eHypnotapes: Tension Relief (Audio CD)
My wife and I switch between this and Janet Decker's Hypnosis for Stress Reduction CD. The two CDs complement each other wonderfully. This CD concentrates more on imagining exercises. It is therefore a little bit more difficult than Janet Decker's CD. I suppose it is also a matter of preference, since my wife prefers this one. Using both together is very powerful. The visulization exercise for dealing with tension on this CD is actually really good.
