I have wanted a digital frame for years, but the price has made it not an option for me. I didn't want to spend a couple hundred dollars.

I saw this frame on Amazon for 48.88 over the holidays, and I was really leery. How can a 12 inch frame be any good, if it's only 50 bucks? Normal price like 100 bucks?? But I decided to try it out, my desire for a frame overruling my sense of skepticism.

When the frame arrived, I attached the cord to the laptop and immediately was able to download over 100 photos onto the frame itself. I set it at random, set it at 15 second intervals, and I was good to go. Turned it on, and stared at it for a very long time. it is AWESOME.

The clarity is really good, I have no problems with fuzzy pictures or anything else. I liked that I could pick anywhere from 5 seconds to 60 minutes for the rotations. I picked a short rotation because I like to see my pictures frequently. I picked up an 8 GB SD card, and now I have over 1100 pictures to look at!

The other nice feature I like is it has an auto shut down and turn on. So I can set my frame to come on at 5 Pm and turn off at midnight, so it's not taking up energy the rest of the time when I'm sleeping or working. How awesome is that?

When I left for a weekend, I'm almost embarrassed to say that I packed the frame with me and placed it on top of the TV stand so I could show off to everyone else.

Overall, great product, I have absolutely no complaints. I've recommended it to several people already, and I would definitely buy this again. Very impressed!!!

edit: Purchased in Jan 2011, it's now Feb 2012. I have set it up to run every single day from 5 PM to midnight and it has never failed. The images are still coming up clear, it has not faltered, quit working, or given messed up images. I am very happy with this, and tell everyone who asks that this is the one to get!

Purchased this frame and I am quite pleased with the super high resolution photos it shows. Easy to use and quite good looking, especially considering I can interchange between the two wood frames. I have seen other frames and this by far has the sharpest picture. If I were to get another frame, this would be the one. I now have three frames by Emotion and all have been what I have been looking for.

PERFECT size- love the frame itself and don't find the stand flimsy at all. Also LOVE the picture and sound quality. One problem is instructions are very difficult to follow, but the most annoying issue is that it continually freezes up!Have tried different memory cards, etc and still does so routinely. Also sometimes you can get frame to pause on single desired picture without any markings on screen to indicate pause and then other times this is not possible?????? And the booklet is of no help. Call me ceazy but I actually got a second one because I really love the size, frames, and picture quality and the same issues occured- especially the freezing of slideshow quite frequently :(

This is the best bang for the buck. The picture quality is great and the fact that it comes with 2 frames is a plus. My only problem is the rather flimsy stand on the back, but it's not a big deal once the frame is set in the desired location. Pretty sure there won't be any disappointment when you get it.

I have bought this product couple of months back. Initial item that I received has got an issue with the remote control receiver unit. I got a free replacement with another piece. The second piece I received works very well. This product has a decent screen size in which the pictures can be viewed as far as 10 feet away. We kept this product just beside our TV in the living room. The picture/color quality is good and the remote control is easy to use.

I purchased this digital photo frame as a gift for my Dad, who (though computer illiterate) had stated he thought he needed a computer so he could look at family photos whenever he wanted. When he said that, I immediately knew this was the thing. When it arrived at my home, it was very easy to load photos onto the unit itself, without using a separate memory device. Once I had loaded the photos I thought he'd want, I was able to present him with the frame ready for immediate use. All he has to do is turn it on and off! Of course, I left the instructions, PC connector cable, and remote with my brother just in case any settings needed changing or new digital pictures needed to be added...no need to bother Dad with the technical stuff (-: He never knew such a thing existed, and he is very happy to have all those pictures to look at! May be one of my best purchases ever!

I purchased this item on sale for me, and loved it so much that I purchased another (not on sale for as good of a price) for my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. I know they'll love it too--especially after we load on 60 years worth of pictures memorializing their amazing life together!

I bought this digital picture frame as an upcoming gift for my Mother, but when I was ready to load the memory card and set it up, I found the instructions were all in FRENCH! I e-mailed the seller through this link and they sent me the instructions in English. Now when reading them and trying to set it up I find that the remote control does not work! Unfortunately the remote is used to set up most of the functions. I thought it might be the battery so I bought a new one. I tried 3 different batteries and no soap. I again e-mailed the seller, but have not heard back and that was 5 days ago. Time is running out until I need to give the frame to my mother.

I have always had good luck with purchasing through Amazon, but this time I have concerns as to the quality of some of the merchandise. Let the buyer beware!

Purchased 2 of these for elderly (over 80) parent Christmas presents. I immediately noticed that the factory seals on one of the boxes were not secure. Uh oh. Let's start with the one that was intact.

While the display is relatively bright with good resolution, there is an annoying, defective pixel on the left-middle side of the screen. Where there should be pure black or dark colors in a scene, there's that annoying pure-white pixel staring you in the face. This must be an artifact of the production run for these monitors as others have mentioned this defect, and both of my frames had the very same defect. Read on...

The other annoying "feature" (or lack thereof) is that there is no shuffle mode possible with this frame. Photos are played in name order of the files. There's a "random" feature for the photo transition mode, but this must not be confused with a random shuffle feature for photo display. This is not rocket science: people do not always want the photos displayed in the same sequence; time after time after time. Before I purchased these frames, I searched the web for an Operator's Manual for this model frame and downloaded it from the manufacturer's website. It showed a different button configuration on the frame and clearly indicated that it has a shuffle feature. It does not.

As others have stated, the foot for table mounting is lame. It is not strong enough to stand the test of time, is flimsy, and does not properly support the heavy frame.

The second digital frame came with a broken pane of glass in the spare picture frame. Oddly, there shouldn't have been a piece of glass in this frame (it should have been empty), hence the fact that the glass was rattling around unprotected in shipping caused it to shatter. This photo frame was clearly repackaged. The AC adapter was clearly used before, as the wires were hastily coiled back up and stuffed in the box. When I plugged it into the frame to see if the unbroken digital frame would work, it was dead as a doornail. Further investigation revealed that the AC adapter was toast; when I used the adapter from the other frame, the unit powered up OK, albeit with that pesky white pixel defect.

While I did keep one of the frames, I would never buy another, and I would never recommend this frame to anyone else. Keep looking.

Received my frame today and once I got past figuring out how to extend the stand on the back of the frame it has been an awesome experience. Actually had to send an email to the manufacturer about this and they responded within 15 minutes. Great customer service. High quality digital frame at an excellent price. Love the abilty to change from a black wood frame to an oak looking wood frame. Product is very high quality. Picture display is clear, sharp and crisp. Pictures look great in this 12 inch frame. Can't wait to try some of the other features which are packed into this frame. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced digital frame.
