The original sounds of four Spanish musicians,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: eMotive (Audio CD)
eMotive is a nonprofit music CD; all proceeds from its sales are to be donated to Doctors Without Borders. A compilation album, eMotive offers the original sounds of four Spanish musicians: Jorge Grundman, David "Gnomusy" Caballero, Eduardo Laguillo and Joaquin Taboada. Though all four musicians are primarily keyboardists, each applies a diverse medley of sound and instrumentation; vocals are also intermixed. The result is a New Age album that resonates within the soul as surely as within in the ears. The tracks are Raghupati Raghava (7:06), The Girl With The Stolen Smile - Nanjing, 1937 (5:42), Cliodhna (4:15), Everyday Heroes (5:02), El Jardin De Marta (3:33), Evoking Something Near (3:28), Tears At Bedtime (5:05), Dolmen Ridge (5:35), Gurudeva Hamara (4:58), Memory Holes (6:26), Forgotten Moss (3:07), and Ballerina (4:09). Highly recommended.

This review is from: eMotive (Audio CD)
This is a great new age/world compilation of various musical styles, spiritual and cultural influences. Eduardo Laguillo, a gifted musician from Spain contributes two vocal pieces in Sanskrit "Raghupati Raghava", "Gurudeva Hamara" and one instrumental track "El Jardín de Marta". Joaquín Taboada also from Spain contributes 3 classical influenced tracks, "Everyday Heroes", "Evoking something new" and "Forgotten Moss". Grundman, who also released We Are the Forthcoming Past, Take Care of It contributes a new track "The girl with the stolen smile" dedicated to the massacre in Nanjing 1937 and Gnomusy (David Caballero) who also released Ethereality contributes a new piece "Cliodhna" with a 5/8 rhythm, influenced by Celtic myth and Greek music. Non Profit Music donates all their profits from the sales of their albums to Doctors without Borders.

This review is from: eMotive (Audio CD)
While online, I heard several songs from this CD, and fell in love with it. So when I bought it I put it in my computer at work and listened to it throughout the day. It kept me calm, focused, and balanced during my hectic day, and gave me an overall sense of joy and warmth. I listen to it almost every day now and never tire of the beautiful melodies. I also love the fact that this CD was created specificially for the "Doctors without Borders" organization and that all proceeds from the sale of the CD goes to this worthy cause.
If you want a CD that will help take the stress of the day away, and touches your soul, this CD is for you.
