After some 4+ years the LCD bulb in my Panasonic 50" LCD HDTV finally blew out. Some places sell just the LCD bulb that you have to mount into the old housing. This unit includes the housing and all so you never touch the bulb or dick around with wires and soldering. I think the old was out and this one was in in less than 3 minutes. Very easy! Actually resetting the TV's timer and hour count was more complex than changing the bulb.
This one worked Great for me and I am very glad I spent the extra couple bucks to get the new housing too.

This review is from: Rptv Lamp for Panasonic (Office Product)
i purchased replacement lamp for panasonic tv. But what i recieved was bare lamp without casing. Lamp needs to be installed in a casing which i did using my old casing but the lamp is not working.
The advertised item did not have no picture but no where it was mentioned that it is bare lamp they are selling not the whole replacement lamp. i will have to order a new lamp as it will more costly for me to send it back after paying shipping and custom and vat duties in my country.

Very Easy to Install,

This was very easy to replace even though my manual said to take the TV to a dealer. No, I'm too cheap to do that! The front panel just pops off, then remove the left panel covering the light with a phillips, then remove the lamp box with a phillips. Slide out the burnt lamp box, slide in the new, simple, simple, simple. The instructions tell you to reset the hours on the light using the remote and volume control, but that is not necessary, although I did it anyway.
