My DVD is hooked up to the aux terminal on the TV. The coax cable from my cable supplier goes to the cable box and RCA (red, white, yellow) goes from cable box to TV, the DVD goes directly to the TV. Yes it is easy to hook up. As long as the TV is the input for everything.

The instruction that comes with it is pretty to follow. I guess it depends off the tv's pretty new.

I have satellite and I am just hooked up to my tv and my tv is hooked up to the satellite. I originally had an older tv (box type) and was not able to hook up the DVD player. Once a bought a newer TV it was very easy to hook up. I guess if you had an older tv and cable you could hook it up through the cable box. You need to be able to push the hook-ups in both the tv and the DVD player. Hope this helps - I'm not very technologically blessed and I was able to do it.

It is sooo easy you won't believe it - it works perfectly!!!!!
You by-pass the cable box and hook it up directly if you have a Samsung TV with one plugin
