how easy is it to transfer video from canera to DVD

You need a DVR, thatis a DVD player/recorder. HD or Blue Ray recordings require the latest technology. If you are just recording in analog from your camera, all you need to do is use the appropriate cable and jacks to connect the output of your camera to the recording inputs of your DVR, and monitor it through the output of your DVR to your TV, or your DVR mode of your receiver (if your DVR runs through your reciever).

Your other option is computer software designed to do this.

I haven't tried it, but you should be able to transfer to your computer and then move to a DVD.
