This cleanser is soap free and fragrance free. The texture is creamy and does contain an alpha hydroxy acid. The recommendations to rinse with cold water or use a toner following cleansing is an extra step to make sure the alpha hydroxy acid doesn't aggravate sensitive skin. I usually use olay regenerist daily cleanser but since this is more of a scrub product, it didn't want to us it daily even though it is o.k. to do so per olay's instructions. For me this is a good alternative product.

I have used this product for many years. I love it. Does not dry the skin, but keeps it clean. Is not over oily, works well with my pretty normal (not oily, not dry) skin type. Was disappointed when JC Penney's stopped carrying, had trouble finding it. Thanks Amazon.

I have been using this face cream for a number of years now. I have extremely sensitive skin. It took me a number of years to find facial creams that would not cause me to break out in a rash. This one is not only good for someone with sensitive skin, it also works well with the dryness that is a result of living in TX. Even so, when I was younger and had the oily "T", I could still use eb5, without it causing my skin to feel oily. Good cream. I highly recommend it.
