My daughter is now 3, but this was her absolute FAVORITE first game. She found some family member literally everyday to play it with her in the months just after she turned 2. It really is a great first game: the only skill required is to match the animal to the identical space on your card, no counting or color recognition even is required. Most 2 & 3 yr. olds LOVE animals (we learned lots of sounds and that bunnies hop, snails are very slow, skunks stink, and much, much, more as we talked about the chips and let them crawl or hop or quack their way to their respective card as they were drawn). A game can be completed in about 5 minutes-no attention span worries. There's not even much need to have mastered taking turns if everyone is willing to let the little one draw the chip from the drawstring bag, he or she will feel constantly engaged even if animal drawn is not an animal on their card. There is no need to define a clear winner- we yell "Bingo on the green card!" and always play until all of the cards have achieved "Bingo!". You could simplify by playing one card each, but we always play all of them. The artwork is great. We highly recommend this one.

This game is listed for three-year old children, but I was positive our two-year old (27 months) would be able to play, and we introduced it as her first board game with adults. Glad to say I was right and what fun for all!!! It is a simple identification game with animals on board cards. There are variations, but we played it as simple Bingo. We took turns drawing animal cardboard tokens from the bag, announcing the animal, and covering our matching animals on our boards. (We discarded non-matching tokens into the box lid.) It was easy for a two-year old to play and she won two games out of the first three we played. She even remembered the animals we had on our cards. It is easier when the child keeps the same card and the adults do the same as she was able to remember our animals and hand us the tokens when they matched without our asking for our match to cover our boards.) We even played one game where there was Bingo for the first player who covered their board and then we selected tokens until all players had their boards covered. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR YOUNG CHILDREN.

This is a wonderful game for children. I have a four year old nephew who loves to play. He loves animals, so that is an added bonus to the game. I would recommend this game for any child 4-6 years of age.
