5.0 out of 5 stars This one's a winner!
What a fantastic game we have stumbled across! It arrived in the mail today and all three of our children were drawn to it like bees to honey! This game is such high quality it will provide lots of enjoyment, especially on rainy days when a real out-of-doors picnic is impossible. The game pieces are extremely thick and I do believe they will even stand up to our two...

3.0 out of 5 stars Adorable BUT...
The clear spinner is a no-go! It is near impossible to play the game when no one can spin. We have the tea party version and that spinner is better. We still try but for the little ones it quickly proves frustrating. Yoohoo Eeboo-fix the spinner:P

The game pieces are extremely thick and I do believe they will even stand up to our two year old! The arm of the spinner I will keep out of her reach for now as it seems to be the only breakable part in the whole box. The colors are bright and inviting and there are several various suggestions for other types of play. Excellent product. I will most definitely keep this in mind for birthday presents in future!!!

My little ones adore this game. It comes with a real red and white checker table cloth, sturdy cardboard pieces and a spinner. The object is to be the first player to assemble a plate, utencils, and one piece of food from each category, namely a drink, one entree, piece of fruit, vegetable and dessert. The spinner contains a spot for each, plus one for "Ants" where landing on it means you have to give a piece back for that round. The game is fast moving and teaches children about taking turns, food groups, and healthy choices. The colorful, realistic pieces are adorable and hold up well to little hands. A must have for the under 6 set. Comes in a convenient and easy to stash small box.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and Educational, January 31, 2008

We purchased this for a Christmas gift for a 3-year-old. It was a big hit! We are a big game family and have purchased other games for him (Candyland Castle, Memory, HighHo Cherry-O, Snail's Pace Race), but this is the first game that he has willingly taken turns AND sat through an entire game from beginning to end.
I like that the game shows what a nice, balanced meal should look like (main dish, a veggie, a fruit, a beverage and a dessert). It is also fast paced enough for a preschooler.
Our son likes to practice folding the cloth game board when we are finished.
I recommend this to parents of preschoolers. I have looked at other eeBoo games, but they seem to be very similar to this one, so I'm not sure it would be necessary to buy more than one style.

I purchased this game for my granddaughter's fourth birthday and was a bit worried it would be too young for her. It wasn't! She and I and her six-year-old sister sat down and played it -- lots of fun. They loved the red-checked picnic tablecloth that serves as the game board. The playing pieces are beautiful and the game is easy to understand and play. I think the game serves an added purpose by showing kids what a well-balanced meal looks like. I plan to buy the Tea Party game later on for another granddaughter when she's old enough.

I got this for my 2 year old daughter for Christmas and she loves it! We're working with her on playing "by the rules" but we also have made up other games with it. She loves setting everything up on the "picnic blanket". A fun game for toddlers!

I really like the eeBoo games for toddlers. The matching and bingo games are her favorites. This game was fun, but I believe at 3 years old, she is still a little too young for it. She has a tough time spinning the wheel and doesn't understand why the "ants" take her food. I'm sure she'll like it more over the next year. Overall, I like the fact that the pieces are all very durable and I believe the game will last for a while - not to mention we won't have lost pieces.

Our 3 year old loved this game. The only downside is that the spinner is pretty light weight, we find that it's necessary for an adult to hold it down while the little ones spin.

This is really a fun little game. The pieces are all very brightly colored and fun shaped. It's like a real picnic...ants and all!! The only complaint is with the spinner...it is hard to spin, but overall this is really a neat game.

I purchased this game for my 3-year-old, but wasn't sure if she would be able to play it quite yet since the game says it is for ages 5 and up. I was surprised and pleased that she took to it right away. We played it for a few days before I introduced the idea of the ants coming to take a piece away - but she actually loves the idea of an ant coming to take the food and giggles every time she spins the arrow to the ants. Highly recommended game!
