I bought this for someone else who needs to save space but have a full featured card reader - this fits the bill perfectly. The entire device is well designed and covers all of the major memory types and is USB 2.0 compliant which helps to speed up the process of transferring pictures. Works great and is well priced.

Usb connector is plastic, never seen one like that before, I guess it wouldn't matter if it worked, haven't been able to get any computer to even recognize that it is there.

i got this reader for to use on my archos 9 tablet and it works perfect.
i pluged it in and just took off.
before gotting this a ordered a kodak 72 reader and just could not make it work.
so i gave up on it luckly i found this one and i am happy as hack..elago 12-in-1 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader EL-RD-002-BK (Black)

When it works, it works great. Have problems with my mac recognizing it and/or mac thinks I am removing it frequently when it's plugged in tight. OK for backup, but I will be replacing.

this product does not work on my dell.
plug it in, and the computer does not recognize it's even there.
wish i had just spent more money and got one that works properly.
made with plastic and that's fine if it had worked, but it didn't.

It just doesn't work well all the time. I've only used this with standard SD cards, and micro sd cards. Sometimes the computer reports the device as being a USB 1.1 device with micro sd cards. With standard SD cards it shows that message regularly. It's not such a big deal if you're moving small files, but when you need to transfer gigs of data, it should work as a USB 2.0 device all the time, not some of it. Otherwise you're sitting there waiting forever to transfer files.

Works very well with my MS Pro Duo (sandisk ultraII), transfers at the same high speeds as the Sandisk (MS only) reader that I have. Same results with SD Cards. Protective cap snaps onto the back while you're using the reader so you don't lose it. Again, good design at the right price.

This is great for my laptop, I keep it im my bag where ever I go and have easy acess to all my photos. Its the size of a flash Drive so it does not take up much room. Over all great buy!

This is a great 12-in-1 USB memory card reader. Works great in mac and linux. I assume it works as well in Windows, but does anyone really use that antiquated Operating System anymore?

This card reader is made well and works much better than I expected it to work, and it's ability to read multiple card types makes it a very versatile product. I received it for free in combination with the purchase of an SDHC card. From past experience with getting "free" electronics, I've noticed that you really do "get what you pay for." This reader proved me wrong, though

I use this as my main means of transferring images off of my camera and I have found it to be quite useful because of its small size and ease of use.

The only con I have discovered is its connection to my MacBook. The reader is very sensitive to movement and will sometimes disconnect if the laptop is moved slightly. This may just be a problem with the particular reader I have, or it could be the computer (although I never have any issues with my USB port otherwise).

All in all, for the price this is a very handy and versatile card reader. It's great for on-the-go activities when you don't want to carry around additional cables.
